Should be a decent game, 3 points will surely see us into the play offs.
Be interesting to see who starts up front for us
Can’t remember exactly what he said but I’m sure Artell made comments in both fixtures about us last season, seems like a bit of a k*ob

Wasn’t the pitch a bit bumpy or something like that?? It will be a bit wet this weekend! Wonder if he’ll moan at that too? Should be a decent game, they still play good football but struggle with the physical presence we will have. We’ll struggle with their fast attacking football on the slick surface!! 5-5 draw! Wonder if their travelling numbers may be down a bit due to the rail strike on Saturday.....

I’m not sure where Artell plays Daniel Powell , but if he has any defensive responsibility at all , exploit it ! He was an expert at pretending to defend and sticking a foot out without ever quite getting there . Smash him early would be my advice

Doubt if Powell is in the starting 11 as he is just coming back from an injury. A win will put us in the play offs as neither of the 2 teams directly above us are playing, they will of course have games in hand.

Straightforward game plan based on when I saw the Cobblers beat Crewe at their place last season - get in their faces, rough them up and exploit the young prima donas at set pieces. Artel is too mouthy and conceited for my money, love to see him eat his words at 5pm on Saturday.

I can see us losing this week. 0-2 The Hoskmeister with 2 freak og's 89min, 90min. But worst of all... Baldy's ironing board breaks and my rubber plants will wilt and die.

For goodness sake Doc we are NOT going down you heard it here 1st (I damn well hope that does not come back to haunt me)

Artell reckons it will take a good team to beat his side . I’m not sure we are that just yet but I can imagine McCormack posting that up on the dressing room wall. I don’t think you need to be that good to beat Crewe Alexandra to be honest .

i agree that we dont need to be a good team to beat crewe however, i do think, in this league, as it is standard wise, we are a good team (or maybe an effective team is a better term).

Lost 4 times this season but only one of those was away from home......Their only defeat was a 0-1 reverse at Newport back in August.
They also beat Middlesbrough away on penalties in the Carabao Cup, won at Accrington in the FA Cup, and won on penalties at Mansfield in the Leasing.com Trophy.

They lost at home to Port Vale also in front of 2,300 travelling fans...and have had more possession than any other team in League Two. Been reading your books again I see!

Good omen, we have Craig Hicks refereeing tomorrow. He allowed our offside winner at Swindon and before that officiated in wins at Crawley and Bradford. During the same period he only had 2 Crewe matches and they lost them both.

I’m with Doc, Manny et al. Another weekend ruined by conceding 2 late goals, 1-2 to the Railway children.

Getting your face saving insurance in early in case it's a win for Cobblers tomorrow I see: 'You don't need to be that to beat Crewe', so if it's 3 points you don't have to give credit, while if they fail to win (or god forbid lose!) you can go to town post match with your opinions on how 'poor' we are. How unsurprisingly predictable from you. Bore off pal.

What ? I hope we win . It won’t take much to beat crewe and we have what it takes to do so. There’s no agenda here .

Another game today to see if we are progressing or have just had a lucky run of results.
I would start with Smith up top today, but not sure if we go with the same line up as Chippenham (apart from Cornell back in goal). Good to have options.
