We welcome the Mariners to Sixfields on Satdee. Recently sacked their manager, just been knocked out of the FA Cup in a long midweek trek to Newport, struggling in 18th place. We are unbeaten in 6 and in a play-off place. Home banker?!
It’s never that easy. Although they are 18th and only won 1 in 5 they have played 3 games less than us so maybe in a false lowly position. Also our Sixfields record against them is poor. Just 1 win in 6 games and that was back in 1998.
Everyone needs to be at it including the crowd.

Hoping that we absolutely murder them in our march towards the automatic promotion places.  Grin

We have shown we can beat teams that want to play football but can we break down sides that sit back ?
I think Pollock will play in this one

Just to clarify, as far as I know our Pollock isn’t suspended (but it’s highly unlikely he’ll start) while their Pollock got sent off in the week!

Grimsby Pollock suspended having been sent off on Wednesday in their FA cup replay at Newport.
Their supporters might be a bit quiet tomorrow as they "only sing when they're fishing". Lets hope they have nothing to sing about.

Aren't suspensions now "Competition related"? If you get sent off in the FA Cup you are suspended for the FA Cup not League games.

This is only the case in the EFL trophy/Leasing.com, I believe.

An ill considered and shameful post. “always” should be capital A. Narrow 3-2 win by the way, with us coming back from 0-2 down.

I thought that as well, so I checked the FA suspension website and he is to serve his suspension tomorrow.
I haven't looked at the detail but it may be connected to the fact that Grimsby were defeated and knocked out?

Just checked:
Red cards (and two yellow reds) are not competition specific.
Yellow cards and their accumulation over matches are.

This is the 19th league game so if Goode, McCormack and Hoskins, who are all on 4 yellow cards, can avoid another tomorrow we will be free from suspensions under the totting up system until anybody reaches 10.
Maybe because we are on a winning streak that we getting many fewer at the moment. Look how quickly Turnbull raced to 5 but I don't think he has any more since.

f***ing disgrace. That is what it is. Crazy rules about how many cards down how many avenues in how many weeks. In what competitions, by which leg in whatever league. The rules of this game are out of control. Let's deduct points for gross incontinence. VAR my f***ing arse.

Grimsby are a bit of a bogey side for us and the fact we are expected to win leads me to predict an edgy 1-1 draw where we fail to get going. Having said that, maybe we are now better than that so will trounce them 5-1 resulting in KC winning manager of the month!
