Saw on twitter tonight that during the Orient v FGR match Orients boss was sent to the stand, and in his post match press conference says he was reacting to a comment from Cooper, which he says was, “who do you think you are - Justin Edinburgh?” Unbelievably s*** from Cooper and as they visit Sixfields soon wouldn’t it be nice if the assembled crowd could tell him just how much of a lowlife he is

Cricket in Aussie-land calls that sledging.
It has been a part of sport (professional and amateur) since it became a public art during the "Bodyline" series.
It's all fair game to me.
Whilst footballing or cricketing, have you never had someone ask you where your Missus is, just as a free-kick is whipped in? Or you face the first ball to a new bowler?
Or, been told that your daughter had it up the rrrrssss last night?
Or, been told that your LGBT leanings are wrong?
Until the World & UK Law changes, these are part of what makes Harry Kane captain of England, and sensitive us prickly at bad things said.
The world is a s*** place.

Sledging is one thing but when you start to bring jibes about someone's death that takes it to a completely unacceptable level. Even if it's not lawfully chargeable by the FA/EFL, if proven it needs highlighting what a complete cockwomble Mark Cooper is and yes we should let him know what we think of him in a few weeks time and let's also have a Justin Edinburgh chant too.

Hello sucker.....Another failed pro bit on the bait...... Thank you for proving my point
So either: 1) You genuinely think it's ok to have a dig at someone because of their sexual orientation or by referencing a decent bloke's death but then lacked the courage of your dubious convictions when challenged. Or 2) You saw fit to use the very same factors as bait to wind up other posters on here, which is essentially the same thing that Cooper is alleged to have done yesterday. Whichever one it is, it makes you a bit of a bell end.

The problem with the allegations is the only person in the whole ground he says he heard them is Embleton. Nobody else from Club Officials ( either side) match Officials or even fans seem to have heard anything untoward. I'm not suggesting that the comments weren't made, just that sometimes more proof might be needed.

I'm baffled by the references to Nigel Farage and Harry Kane (in previous posts). Tom Watson's egging on of the pervert Carl Beech and the obvious effect it had on the reputations of persons still alive and already dead strike me as one of the worst examples of sledging (not to do with sport of course) of recent years.
Mark Cooper should apologise for his comment and donate a decent sum to the foundation that was created in his memory (if he actually said what he has been quoted as saying).

I dont see what the fuss is about. If that is an accurate quote, Cooper was praising Justin's record I'd have thought, not speaking bad of him. Sledging as Why describes it and nothing more.

Apparently Cooper and Edinburgh were close friends so if there was any remark, which is denied, you would think the intention would be to praise Edinburgh. It seems Embleton chucked some chewing gum at Cooper and is trying to mitigate that heinous offence. He could have had his eye out.
