Just saw their game against Crewe was called off. It seems like they havent paid the players. Poor feckers but I think they're doomed..

For goodness sake Doc we are NOT going down you heard it here 1st (I damn well hope that does not come back to haunt me)

If they did fold and their games were expunged, that'd be a bonus for us.

Could we give them Harry Smith back before they fold? In all seriousness, the situation was never that bad that we had to cancel a fixture like they have, and Bury did before them. I don't see a way back, with various misconduct charges hanging over them, and now games being called off its only a matter of time before they get a deadline. That deadline would be difficult to keep as it would include such things like business plans, potential new owners etc, none of which appear to be on the horizon. A club that has bounced around between non-league and League 2 (barring one season in the old League 1) and has only achieved an average crowd in excess of 2000 twice in the last 11 seasons doesn't have a lot going for it.

There really is no way back without a sugar daddy(or person, one shouldn't be sexist), their outstanding debts to staff, players, HMRC and Campbell is enough to finish them. I was wondering if the rules for sports clubs are different as they are at this moment in time trading whilst insolvent which is not allowed for everyday companies.

If that did occur then Swindon, Exeter and Cheltenham would all have 3 points taken away. I can't see how they can last the season judging by their situation.

We did have a problem, just before KT took over, that we couldn't get a team coach for an away match. NTFC owed Country Lion quite a bit and they refused to supply a team coach without the cash upfront. I don't know if there were any other idea's to get the players to this match, drive them in cars or on the train, but in the end, the Trust paid Country Lion for a coach, so the fixture was fulfilled.

There are people supposedly interested in buying the club including (ex goalkeeper) Les Sealey's son, who lives close by. It is a big mess !

Surely according to the Oracle, all Macclesfield need to do is build a 10,000 capacity stadium and the fans will flock back, sponsorship will come in as local business pour money in, and all will be rosey in the garden. No problems .

They are (or were supposed to be) moving to a new ground as part of the development in the area, admittedly only 7,000 capacity

Game on Saturday now in doubt over safety concerns.
At least four more points to be deducted if they do have another game called off.

Though Bianchi across from the station (and sponsors I believe) could help out financially!

Game postponed after the safety advisory group issued a zero capacity certificate on the ground according to many news sources, however their offical site has just put up a statement from the Chairman saying the game will go ahead as planned!

Another four points if it is off?

At least another four, possibly more considering the communication problems. Puts Macclesfield bottom of the league despite having won just one fewer game than they have lost. Can't see them lasting the season.
