Wow, I feel so humble that my little post was deemed worthy of a reply by a member of the aristocracy and none other than the 12th Marquise of Northampton (over inflated ego of self importance?)
Yes, you can read, that was exactly what I was saying and many of the people who park there are not using the pub before the game as you see them arriving. It is why Sainsbury and the retail park adjacent to Mansfields ground have a parking time limit - to stop the freeloaders. Suggesting moving the car at 2.55 is rediculous as you would miss the start of the game.
Anyway, I am sure you lordship does not park illegally, after leaving your stately home to attend the match as you would have your chaffeur drop you off and collect you.

It's Marquis not Marquise - big tip don't try to rile him it will end in tears👍

Everbrite, thank you for the words of advice. I did not realise that he was such a sensative soul and could be brought to tears so easily. Is it due to a sheltered, privileged, upper class upbringing. Thank god us lesser mortals are not so inflicted.

That happens as you get older...except on your feet and your ball bag.

It is possible that I have thin skin but I do not have illusions of grandeur.

How about delusions of grandeur?

Either is applicable Larry. If you look up the meaning of illusion in the Concise Oxford Dictionary it is deception or delusion.
