7 mins of stoppage. Time for a Smith hat trick.

Would of been 3 points if not for pi55 poor defending from Hoskins and a howler from our sought after keeper.

You’ve got to say all things considered that’s a good point, you can’t question the effort and power of the players, we’re just lacking a bit of quality in attacking areas particularly from open play - whether or not KC can bring that in when the window opens will depend on whether or not we will be challenging for automatic or just the playoffs.

How to grind out a point and some. Andy Cook was good for them. Was Cornell at fault as Manny Boyo over 400 miles away deemed he was. I

That was a decent point. Although Cornell should have probably kept out their goal, to say he cost us all three points is harsh, because in all honesty they should really have been three up before we equalised , they missed some sitters. But we hung in there and our never say die attitude paid dividends with a good header from Smith. Not pretty on the eye  , but a good battling point that keeps us in the top seven. Goode my MOM, the bloke is just awesome. Good away following and noise, well done everyone.

Good point today, the team showing its resilience again. Decent results in the other games as well keeps things nice and tight with the top 7-9 sides.

It does make Crawley on Boxing Day more important - we need the 3 points in this one.

You're right that it was a very poor goal to concede by Cornell this time, but it would be nice to know if you're capable of talking about anything else.

Apart from the last 10 minutes, it was poor entertainment and nowhere near as good as the my last match at Oldham, although I only enjoyed the first 80 of that one.

Certainly wasn't £50 worth of entertainment, looking forward to £20 worth of entertainment at Salford much more.

I was surprised by trying 3 big men up front.  Last time I saw that was Rico, Marquis and Collins at the same ground and that didn't work as well it did today.

Horrible goalkeeper error for the Mansfield goal looking at the highlights.

I was doing some re-wiring, I'm here now though. Willo to score the winner from off the bench.
Melbourne's stamina lets him down again I see.
This 2am start is killing me CJ. Live viewing is getting to be a rarity for me these days until the clocks change? Still with the wonders of iPlayer I get to watch all the action and avoid Bernie Keith’s rock and roll heaven. Every cloud.

I'm all over this one, Winnable and a nice pub by the bridge. (Bridge tavern?)
I'm even breaking my protest again, the one against the clubs lack of interest into the clubs future plans and its poor infrastructure and will be taking a seat in the ground V Stevenage.

Horrible goalkeeper error for the Mansfield goal looking at the highlights.

Agree, the distance, clear vision, very little deviation and a good height. Not a good piece of goalkeeping and, like Steve Arnold at Pompey, I think that his reaction showed he realised it.

A fair result after we should have been ahead at half time, on the balance of play, Mansfield had their chances in the second half. We defended particularly well in the first half and Cornell only had to collect 2 very weak efforts while we looked dangerous when we attacked.
A very brave move by KC on 62 minutes to have all 3 strikers on the pitch together but it did not appear to be working as when we won an aerial ball we did not win the second ball and rarely threatened the Mansfield goal
Unfortunately, I have to agree that on this occasion Cornell seemed poorly positioned for their goal leaving too much space by his near post. After the equaliser if any side was going to win it was going to be us.
Yet another deluded manager who thought his side should have won because his side did not take their chances. I notice that they never say that if Northampton had taken more of their chances we would have lost convincingly.
Anyway a good point, now lets go and get 3 at Crawley who have not won for about 2 months.

I wasn’t there but it looked and sounded a terrible game .
We do lack a bit of craft at the top of the pitch unfortunately .
More than happy with a point though and this time ..... wait for it ..... Cornell was at fault , no question .

I think if we are looking to get automatic promotion we need an upgrade on Anderson and Hoskins - very harsh but despite them giving 100% every game there is only intermittent quality.
