We have been given the kiss of death. Mark Lawrenson making his FA cup predictions says that he cannot see any major upsets in this round but thinks there could be a minor upset at Burton and takes Northampton to win 1-0. It's a pity we were not playing them a month ago as they appear to have found some form winning 3 of the last for games. Burton are another side with a better away record than at home, in 13 away games they have scored 21 goals compared to 11 from 10 home games although 7 of these were from the last 2 games but they have failed to score in 5 of the 10 games. Winning 3 of their last 4 games they have scored 11 goals but have also conceded 8 so they appear to have defensive problems. Danger men appear to be N.I. international Liam Boyce and Lucas Akins who have regularly featured on the score sheet. If we can keep it it tight at the back I think we will have opportunities at the other end and spurred on by a large away following I give us every chance of springing a surprise.

Time to concentrate on the League.
This will be a hiding to nothing, with no glory days. The winner will be away to Oxford Utd.
Best to just bow out of the Cup, gracefully, now. Most of the teams around us have already played in the league today. From the results, it is clear where their priorities have been.
With major injuries to McWilliams & Smith, and concern over McCormack (scan related to contract extension?), we suddenly do not have the strength in depth for a congested fixture list.
Burton = A back-foot game, with Hoskins as the lone striker.

If arriving at 12pm, most of the decent pubs will be open. Of those, out of the station, over bridge and right at Roebuck pub, You'll come to the Devonshire Arms. That's around 3-5mins walk. Next side street (Cross St) is Coopers Tavern - brilliantly iconic real ale pub but small, so if you don't like real ale, give it a swerve - and leave for those who do! If arriving before 12pm, the National Brewery Tap opens at 11am as does the Oak & Ivy which is around a 3 min walk turning left out of the station. Alfred and Derby Arms on Derby Road when walking to the ground.

Wasn’t it at Burton where Cris Dunn had a howler? I remember loads of our support walking out early.

The prize money alone for winning a 3rd round tie is £135,000. This would easily pay for loans to replace McWilliams, Smith and McCormack for the rest of the season. Then there's the gate money from Round 4, the prize money from Round 4, television money potentially.

He had two against Burton. One where he managed to dive over the ball really early on, and then later on got caught in possession to concede another one. When we played them at home he caught the ball for a cross but somehow stepped backed over the line for a goal, leading to Sammo being sacked. Not a great goalkeeping record against Burton.

Think Dunn conceded 3 in the first ten minutes there once. Might not have been 3, might not have been in ten minutes but it certainly wasn't a good start

Can anyone shed light on ticket info for today's game? Our own official site says tickets can be bought at the ground for both sitting and standing, yet Burtons official site says tickets on the day for home fans only.
