Looking forward to this one. Should be another big away following and a new ground for many I suspect!

I think KC should go with the exact XI that started against Burton unless McCormack is fit, in which case he’ll have a tough decision to make.

Going for a 2-1 win.

Our Officials for this one:
Salford City FC (First Team) v Northampton Town FC (First Team) Football League 2
Referee: Ross Joyce; Assistant Referees:  Kevin Mulraine and Stephen Wade; Fourth Official:  Peter Gooch

Ross Joyce's last Cobblers match was in February last year in our 4-0 home defeat against Colchester.
Prior to that he officiated in our 2-1 away win at Gillingham in October 2017.

There are just 4 seats left on the "Earls Barton Cobblers" coach on Saturday, I think most of the others are full, pm me if you're interested

I suggest you allow time to get through the traffic going to Old Trafford and the lack of parking!

I see that Salford have signed Tom Elliot from millwall, should be a handful for our defence.

Bingers family are heading for this one.  By coincidence it is time to return Boy Bingers back to Manc, so we can kill two birds with one stone.

Looking for more entertainment that at Mansfield.  Should be better value for money at £20 for the three of us compared to £52 at Mansfield.

Train day out for me.....probably sharing the train with Millwall fans on their way to Stoke.

Long walk from the nearest tram stop to the ground.....

Was looking at a news article last night saying that Salford achieved their record travelling support figure when they took 773 to Oldham last week......a 17 mile trip!
We are taking the best part of a thousand on a 290 mile round trip.......

Well done Cobblers fans!

They also played on Tuesday night when they beat Port Vale 3-0 in the EFL Trophy.....watched by a crowd of 630, 287 of whom were from Port Vale.

Better to get a bus than tram .... But probably worth considering getting a taxi from the city centre

I'll see what the weather is like.....the 1.7 mile walk from the tram station to the ground and back might will be good exercise.....10000 steps worth perhaps!

Get off at Junction 19, get on the A556, turn left to High Legh on the A50 and then right onto West Lane. Then follow the Sat Nav to Partington then Carrington and you will go straight into Salford on the A6144. Mostly back lanes and you’ll miss everything. Don’t try it on a coach though as there’s a low bridge under the canal.

Salford has changed a lot since I was a lad 🙂

We will be going to old haunts around Oldham Street (I refuse to call it the Northern Quarter)

I will be in attendance for this, looking forward to a new ground and a big away following

I've heard there are only two toilets for the entire away end so that could be interesting

Yes, portaloos as well......its like Chippenham revisited!

Small refreshment kiosk service not much at all

On the football grounds guide there is a review from someone who went to the EFL Trophy game on Tuesday night, he mentions that traffic wardens were out in force ticketing cars parked in the residential areas near the ground. There were only 600 odd fans at that game......so watch where you are parking if you are driving up there.

Some of ours up there already and around Ancoats - Crown & Kettle, Marble Arch, Fringe Bar etc.

New Oxford just a few minutes walk from Dean Street...thirteen ales and three real ciders on apparently!
Will need taxis from there though!
