Home support of 1850 is abysmal, they only brought 150 to the PTS. Clubs like this do not deserve a league club and are only there because they have some money behind them.
Next week we play Morecambe who had less than 1600 at their game today and last season brought less than 100 to the PTS.
Other new clubs with pathetic followings are FGR and Fleetwood.
Notts County continue to attract home gates of over 5000 and other former league clubs in the National league also achieve much better support ie Stockport, Halifax,Wrexham and Chesterfield and I would prefer to see them return.
I personally think Salford (the club, prior to the class of 92) have been, to an extent, victims of their owners bought success. To come through that many divisions in such a short space of time has shown their facilities up for what the club is.
I congratulate them on what they've achieved in getting this far, but would be fearful of their future should their owners decide enough's enough. Again, the R&D model springs to mind.
