Trains make for a great away day
Though it's harder to take a mid journey slash now the doors dont have windows...
Rumour has it that some trains now have toilets on them !

Now Derby is out of the way, let’s take 1,500 plus to our next away game. Trains are still £10.00 returns to Bescot Stadium and you are free to drink/ eat in Birmingham on the way / way back. It would be great to fill the pubs and trains with Cobblers fans The Briar Rose is open from early so is the ideal meeting point and then there’s plenty of boozers nearby. Coolcat will know plenty more but regulars for Town fans include the Post Office Vaults, Wellington and the Shakespeare.

I'm going to this and convinced a mate to come as well.
So far he has been to 11 Cobblers games (all away), no wins. Last one he did was Oldham away earlier this season.
Apologies in advance.

I do somehow feel that it would be better to sell out Sixfields after the dire turnout against Scúnthorpe.

Fairly surprised it took that long actually I did make a suggestion to the club about a ticketing offer for the Swindon and Exeter games but they've not gone ahead with that. So full steam ahead. CHOOOOO Army

Dan, your boundless enthusiasm has convinced me to get my arse down from Scotland for this one so that's one closer to selling out! Plus one more for the party train if all goes to plan. Tell Wetherspoons to do tattie scones down there as well though, things of great beauty.

Are the club going to push this from Tues night onwards?
Can understand focusing on the two home games first, but could do with some promo posters, perhaps on the big screen Tues, and then social media.

I believe a large group of the lads who sit in the south west corner are on the train just after 8

Just to reiterate, the 8.14 is indeed going to be nicely full with Town fans. If you're undecided on timings as yet, I'd advise of that one Fred, that is phenomenal efforts fair bloody play!

Rumour has it that some trains now have toilets on them ! Any chance of reducing the Trust Coach Prices to Walsall and match BR/GPC's initiative of £10.00 return?

The price now, according to London Northwestern Railways site is £16.50p, do you think we should increase the coach prices to match the train?

Still £5 advance singles for the way there (0814 and 0837) or £6 on the two trains afterwards. £6 returns on the 1804 and 1834
So you can still do it for £11 or £12 return.

My ticket says I can't break my journey up, presumably meaning I'm not supposed to leave new street on the way. Should I be unduly worried by this or shall I just do what I'm going to do anyway?

Pretty sure our return from the bescot is 7pm something and can safely say we will be back in New Street well before then. GPC you're probably best placed to answer that question though?

If you've booked advance tickets they are specific to individual train services, so will be into New Street and out on the next available, same coming back. So there should be no break of journey in Birmingham as although you might be on the correct first train, you won't be on your correct second train.
There are ticket barriers at New Street so, depending on whether they are in use, and depending on how closely the staff look at your ticket anyway, there's a chance you might not get out!
The issue will not be on the trains I don't think, although if you have a ticket reserved for the 0814 and you're on the 1014 for example, there's an hour for the guard to come through the trains and check tickets...and potentially tell you that your ticket is not valid!
The off peak unrestricted day return fare is £16.50, travel there and back on any train with break of journey permitted.
If you've paid any less than that then you are "officially" restricted to individual services with no breaks allowed.
