Good performance, stifled the opposition and had a few chances ourselves. In the hat for the 5th round draw on Monday night. We’ll know the incentive.....
Word on the gate..7798....capacity, despite segregation and seats out for cameras?? Same crowd as was given for the ManUre game. Don’t know why we’d add a hundred or so on top?
How many to Pride Park then? 5000 allocation, or as near as dammit.
Not sure any seats were lost for cameras this evening. Sky ised to take a small amount in the wings of the West but BT were on the East side tonight

Excellent result tonight, only managed to catch a bit of the second half as at this franchise trade show in Liverpool, working till gone 9! What I did see, thought we matched them and Hoskins had the beating of his man on the right. Still gutted to have not been there, was the atmosphere good , under lights. Definitely be at pride park for the replay, we’ll done everyone.

Good dogged Keith Curle type performance with our best chances coming early on. The ball just never fell kindly in the box. Goode was immense after being incredibly lucky not to see red. All put a shift in. Rooney can still pick a pass and their passing and ball control was class but they created so little, not a shot on target. Probably not a great spectacle for the neutral. Interesting attendance figure the same as the Man Utd game bang on capacity. The only segregated seats were about 5 in the East Stand above the gangway. Lots of Cobblers fans standing in the West Stand walkways near the South end all game was odd. Good that the TV cameras were in the East. Makes the ground look better although it seems odd having that view after all these years. Hope the atmosphere came over well and the Harry Dunn tribute which was well done. Replay - depends on the draw on how many would travel to Pride Park. We're in the fifth round draw for the first time in 50 years. Traffic - took me 50 minutes to do the 6 miles from Abington to get there and 20 to get out the South grass car park. All told, a good night for the club and the town.

Great battling performance from the Cobblers, really took the game to Derby but feel we have missed our best chance of winning the tie. At the game I thought Goode lucky to stay on but have now seen it on TV, Goode gets a touch on the ball which runs through to Cornell. So for me that's a yellow card and a free kick for the pull on Marriott, not a red.

That was a performance to be proud of . We were dead on our feet in the second half and yet nothing was left in the tank against a Derby side that hadn’t played on the Tuesday . Should have capitalised on the first half dominance but a draw was a fair result . I’m not sure Goode deserved a red or that it was a foul . It was unintentional and a good tackle . Savage is a Ram and so who cares what he thinks . Charlie Goode tonight was immense . That was a 10/10 performance by that lad

Talking to a father and son in the pub afterwards, who do all the Derby away games, and they were very complementary to ourselves. They thought we were more dangerous than the Rams. An obvious red card but you need a slice off luck against teams two divisions higher.
I bet Rooney is on more money than the whole of our squad!!
Let`s go and have a party at Pride Park!

We really could have done without replay, probably Derby too. Would much rather see FA cup matches decided on the night.

Have you been listening to the prem managers bleeting on about the FA cup replays and the fixture back log, take replays out of the cup and we yet again start removing the magic of the cup even more, the replay offers yet more opportunity for much needed funds for lower league teams like us.

Words on Robbie Savage and BT commentary;
Incessantly banging on about the Goode sending off that for him, unfortunately never materialised.
1. No guarantee whatsoever that Derby would have scored had the player not been brought down/gone down.
2. Outside of the box, so obviously not a penalty.
3. "The dynamics of the game would have changed". Get out of here...Derby were pish and having a player less would in all probability, galvanized the Cobblers further!
4. Cocu the Derby manager is an utter c...Walsall fan! Even BT put it to him that the Cobblers should be given credit.
By contrast, Derby fans on their forum have been focusing on their team/manager's inadequacies, rather than blaming the whole result on one moment during the game.
Derby away... can't wait!

Played really well and totally dominated 80% of that game.
Charlie Goode was an animal and everyone played really well especially given the tiredness factor of 3 games in 7 days. Lucky with the non red card.
However missed opportunities dreadful quality in to the box from Hoskins in particular cost us a chance of winning and this was probably a missed opportunity.

Will Wharton be avaliable for the replay? (Harriman did a commendable job I thought).

No worries. If they aren't cup tied we'll save them for the next round.

Pretty well sums it up.....we shut down the Derby side and didn't allow them to play, as is Curles strength when setting up for games. Rooney was non-existent so if you can stop a player like that then you must be doing something right. Hoskins delivery was poor, and apart from those two runs and a couple of times where he tracked back to defend I don't remember him doing anything at all. For me, you can't have a player being involved in four pieces of play in 90 minutes and then say he was doing a good job. Charlie Goode, the challenge aside was fantastic, must have made about 20 defensive headers, a few more tackles and blocks, he did everything else right. Thats someone who was involved in the game and influenced the result...or way or another! Harriman slotted in well, Turnbull did what he needed to, Adams had a great first half but was barely at the races in the second. Oliver put himself about and is a great focal point for the balls forward, but he isn't a goalscorer....two decent chances and didn't hit the target. Williams had one effort last night and didn't bring much else to the party. Overall we more than matched the team Derby put out, I don't subscribe to the old "two divisions above" thing, because they were on the whole a reserve side with 8 changes from their previous league game. That said we can only play whats in front of us. Can't help feeling that we were decent, Derby were poor and we missed an opportunity to beat them there. Yes we have a replay, but you can bet that if the 5th round draw pits the winners away at a big club then they will play a much stronger side in the replay, and their home form is miles better than their away form. We are though in the 5th round draw.....and only the oldies on here will remember the last time that happened! UTC

The team Derby put out was still a strong one. Holmes, Waghorn, Huddlestone and Lawrence were their biggest misses from the XI, and one of those came on with 20 minutes to go. If they has all started it would probably have been a different game.
IMO though, the rest of the side was about as strong as they would be whoever they played in the other 7 positions.
