You were making this point before we realised they'd be 1000 free seats.

Obviously the only solution is that people are in their rights to sit in their seat, if they ask, you should move and not make a fuss. I don't really mind people sitting anywhere. But you shouldn't get annoyed if you are asked politely to move

In my first post on the subject on 1st Feb I said it looks as if there’ll be 1,000 empty seats so your first comment is incorrect.

If I’m asked politely I will most probably move, but I doubt I will be

This old chestnut!

I don't really get why it needs to be communicated, its common sense, surely.

When we take a few hundred to a game and we are rattling around in a big stand = sit where you want. I normally show up about a minute before kick off so I know I wont p1ss anyone off by that point in any case.

When we take a few thousand to a game with different sections within it, and seats are likely to be at a premium, then you sit where your allocated.

I've no idea where my seats are in relation to good view/bad view etc. Ill head towards them (I've got my 10 year old son), if someone is sitting in them and there's available seats close by, Ill sit in the ones available. If the ticket holders show up, Ill be asking the ones sat in my seats, to politely move.

I've always been able to avoid any argument here. On the odd occasion in the past I've been asked to move, I've moved because frankly, the way I see it I haven't got an argument! If there's 100's of free seats available, I just find it funny!  Grin

Im sure all will be fine, just don't act like a nob if someone with the seat number you are sat in asks you to move if its there. That's if you plan to wing it!

Because if it’s not communicated people buy separately...

If it’s allocated seating, there’s always a line in bold in the article along the lines of ‘Please note it is allocated seating’

There was literally no choice of what ticket you got, Unless you brought tickets in bulk in the general sale you are not sitting with your friends.

It is pretty s***ty service to print numbers on the tickets then force people to sit in their randomly allocated seat because it was either an afterthought or your website infrastructure doesn't facilitate it.

Oh right, didn't know that...

Understand your point about people buying separately. Personally, I've always made sure that in these instances I get the tickets with the people I want to sit with, at the same time. But I do see your point totally.

Anyway, lets chill eyt FFS. EIEIEIO...... Grin

Sorry, I'm not going to look back and see when you first posted, but your tone implies that you would do what you want to do, whatever the circumstances.

But that’s my point as well, the people I’m going with have all bought separately to each other because we weren’t made aware, so do we have to sit on our own for the evening because of the clubs poor communication?

or your very poor planning

so there is a solution.

sadly, in this country, people think they are entitled to do what they want and are think they are entitled to things that aren't theirs.

I for one don't agree with this high moral stance

Your argument is with the party who sold you the ticket not the individual who wants to sit in his allocated seat at the match. If you wish to make him an offer for his seat at the match...…………………..

Every time that I can think of when we've had a big away day its been allocated seating. I would say that most grounds now have a seat on them, just when there's not as many its easier to manage and people are happy to move to the sides if they want to sit down or be in a quieter area.
With 3000, 4000 + it was never going to be possible. If people didnt think it through then its on them and they should have the respect of others to move seat when asked. If no one asks then no problem.

Anyway, enough of arguing with the bore brigade.

Sadly I think we’ll get edged out tonight as I think they’ll go strong team selection wise and a better pitch will allow them to open us up a bit more.

maybe they should base the seating allocation on how many songs people have sung at away games and how many of those songs were sung whilst a) drunk, b) standing and c) not in their own seat.

as that in some eyes seems to be the only way to determine the best fans

those with the highest rating can then have a choice of seat, but they aren't allowed to pick any that ntfclad has reserved of the unreserved for his mates.

Lose the argument. Resort to insults.

No reason to be negative tonight. The Cobblers are on a long good run. Promotion a real possibility. Very little to lose for us.

With Derby having an outside shot of the playoffs (as does most of the league) I hope that they rest a few of their big guns and play some of their younger lads as they did in the first game.

I imagine we will see less of the ball than we did in the first game, but with our style of play that is not particularly an issue anyway. Regardless I will enjoy ticking another ground of my list and its a nice change from the usual level of grounds we get to experience!

Will be good to welcome Wharton back into the mix. If Harriman and Turnbull are not fit to play I wonder if we will see Goode move back to RCB, Wharton to the middle and Martin LCB. Its a shame the new signings cannot feature, those additional options, particularly off the bench give us such a boost.

I think the argument has many different parts but I agree about not being negative so I’m moving on!

Wharton straight back in you’d think

That’s a really good idea, think I might pass that on to James Whiting

Bit harsh Forever - how things go on here for insults ''the bore brigade' is small fare - trust me Cool . Its mostly true as well though!  Really look forward to the entrance of Lord Boot & Shoe and Royal entourage. Should be interesting.
