Draw specialists The Valiants head to Teyn on Satdee, having lost the same amount of League games as Cobblers (Cool this season. It's always a tough match against these and with old foe Charles Breakspear as ref we need to be on our best behaviour and avoid giving him decisions to make. He has sent off 7 Cobblers players in the last 8 games he has reffed us. Has shown 12 reds in 25 games and 110 yellows. Hasn't sent anyone off in the last 2 games so he is due to brandish a red card soon!
Would expect Morton to start and possibly Marshall. Turnbull should also be back. A real pity that Olyinker won't be fit. A tight 2-1 or even a 1-1 I reckon.

I really have a dislike for vale, absolute scumbag supporters, never forget the reaction when Alex Nichols broke his leg in front of them.
Hope we pump them 4-0.

Will be tricky this one. Vale not great on the road but given their league position they’ll be right up for this one. They’ve already beaten almost all of the promotion chasers this season so it would appear that like us, they play better against the better sides. Would like to see Morton in over Willo and maybe a start for Marshall too against one of his former clubs.

Our home form is outstanding at the moment and despite the cup defeat I think we’ll still be full of momentum and confidence but Vale will be game. Predicting an uncomfortable but vital 2-0 win.

They're away form isn't great though. In their last 2 away games they've lost 3-0 to Swindon and 2-1 to Morecambe.
With out outstanding home form I'd expect a comfortable win.

Their away form isn't great but they've won at Bradford and Crewe who like us, have very strong home records so we'll need to be very wary.

Northampton Town FC (First Team) v Port Vale FC (First Team)
Football League 2
Referee:  Breakspear, Charles
Assistant Referee:  Ogles, Samuel
Assistant Referee:  Mackey, Oliver
Fourth Official:  Da Costa, Anthony

KC and the team know how Mr Breakspear officiates so, like Wadey says, they need to ensure that they do not give him any decisions to make...
He's awarded 11 cautions and 1 red card in his three games this year which is below his average so he may be looking for opportunities to improve his hit rate in this one... Cool

The Fourth Official must have a local gig tonight to be able cover our game?  Tongue (Is that my taxi?)

2 red and 6 yellows.
Im concerned there's a few tired legs around but with the new guys I think we'll have enough to win this.

I have a very good feeling about this one.
If we would have beat Derby this would have been a loss. Turnbulls back and Tom Pope is in deep s***e for a tweet.
Going for a 2-0 win Olly and Wharton.

apart from one's that might be in our favour.

My attitude would be to make sure we play the game in their half. Don't be defensive.

Craig Breakspear are the two words I fear the most each year in the context of the Cobblers. Worse than Kettle, at least the latter just blows the fouls every two minutes, Craig has decided to up him by throwing a card out every other minutes as well.

Also not going a particularly good opinion of Vale fans either, having a night out after the Nicholls incident I remember a couple of them being a bit gloaty about the leg-break in the McDonalds at the end of the night, and I'm pretty certain it was a Vale fan who was recorded racially abusing Exodus Geoghegan when he was their own player. Obviously not the fault of all Vale fans, but wouldn't worry too much if we smashed them.

You need not worry about Craig Breakspear as we have his brother Charles today, he really likes a Cobblers game.

Well, I stand both corrected and relieved. Edit: or not that relieved as Charles is the c***.
