Exeter are the visitors to the PTS on Saturday, fresh from their last gasp defeat in the Leasing.com Trophy tonight as they went down to a 96th minute goal from John Marquis as Portsmouth booked a return visit to Wembley.
The Grecians did make 10 changes from the team which won at Macclesfield last Saturday, only the goalkeeper survived the cull, so fatigue shouldn't be an issue for them come the weekend.
They have only lost twice in their last 16 league games, coincidentally those defeats were consecutive games against Port Vale and Swindon. They have scored in every away league game since early November.

Our head to head against them sees a decent record, with the defeat at St James Park earlier this season being the first time in 8 games they had beaten us. We have won our last three at home against them and there hasn't been a home draw since 1995.
Overall we have only lost 3 of our last TWENTY-SIX meetings with them, and lead the H2H 52 to 30 with 34 games drawn.

Referee for the game is Martin Coy, he has refereed us twice this season, the first being the 2-2 draw up at Morecambe and more recently the home game over Christmas against Cheltenham where we drew 1-1 and he showed a red to Alex Addai. On the two occasions he has reffed us he booked Jordan Turnbull and Sam Hoskins in both games.
He has reffed 25 games in total this season showing 75 yellow cards and 4 reds.

Looking at this realistically Exeter are on a roll. Our confidence is shot and we have gone from being a team to fear to becoming whipping boys in apparent free fall? So obviously we are going to hammer them 3-0 or 3-1 at the very least I’d say?

Exeter have a very poor record here winning only 5 of 58 games, 36 wins to us and 17 draw. In these matches we have scored a total of 136 goals and conceded 59. I think we can get our season back on track with a win.

I watched their game against Portsmouth last night. If that was their equivalent of a 2nd team we're in trouble.

So yes, we'll probably win 3-0.

Marquis was quality for Pompey - £2 million form Doncaster was suggested !

Whichever team it was, being on the end of two injury time goals after thinking they'd secured a win with an 89th min goal must have knocked the wind out of their sails somewhat...and made me chuckle no end frankly!

Let's hope we can start another 3 month unbeaten home run. That would see us over the line come May. I do fancy us to this one, 2-1.

Its really a must win but I think a 2-2 draw.
They'll score in the last 5 mins and Baldys ironing board will break and he'll have crack open the bourbon
There will be a alot of plagarism and Was will arrive halfway through the first half.
Theres feelys certs.

Funny you say that. My first Cobblers game was 4-1 at home to Exeter in 97.

A couple of former players in their squad - Lewis Ward (goalkeeper signed by Dean Austin) and winger Lee Martin.

I'm predicting a 0-5 reverse.

There are things happening behind the scenes which don't auger well.

We may be seeing a "temporary" management team of Sammo and the "Mac" before Easter.

Expect a mid-table finish, a clear out of players, and a new season built around our "youth".

Cornell; Jones, Goode, Turnbull; Lines, Adams, Hoskins, Anderson, Watson; Oliver, Morton

Subs: McCormack, Pollock, Warburton, Roberts, Harriman, Arnold, Marshall

No place in the 18 for Wharton, Martin or Williams.

Hoskins and Turnbull both one yellow card away from a two game ban.
