Which ones have been removed?
Are you sure it's not the ones under your other pseudonym or on a different board?
None have been removed from this board as "Why?" this year.

Thank you for putting the record straight.

I could have done but I honestly never thought it would cause this much of an issue
Don't believe Marquis, I think you wanted to get the thread going. Smiley

A much needed win and a fine performance, everyone did their bit. Oliver got us off to a flying start with a great finish but I wondered if we had scored too early! I needn't have worried as Exeter barely threatened, the Cobblers simply snuffed them out. Not for the first time one of the "footballing" sides caused us very few nervous moments.
The back three were very solid, Jones is obviously getting sharper match by match. Adams crossing looked more like his usual standard and I think he ran himself to a standstill. Anderson barely played a meaningful pass all game but chased anything that moved. Similarly Hoskins was rarely involved in any constructive play but tracked back really well and calmly slotted the penalty. Morton's running, with and without the ball caused Exeter problems all game especially when the game opened up more in the second half. Pollock was a very positive substitution, pushing forward with the ball and winning numerous tackles.
Recently people have been comparing Curly to Ian Atkins, well as the man himself once said, 'String a dozen passes together and the crowd will give you a ripple of applause but roll your sleeves up and get stuck in and the crowd are on their feet'. That applies to our current team and if we play like this every game we can beat anyone in league 2.

Very good post EB.

What is this story based on ? Can you justify the veracity of your facts/rumour or are you a soothsayer?

There are no "facts".  It was not a "story".  My prediction was wrong. Some sudden changes happened before kick-off, as you may have noticed if you were there early enough on Saturday.

By the way, I love your "lowered" Austin Maxi.  Your idea, or has time taken its toll?

Turnbull in defence usually adds a certain reassurance and quality. That’s not being critical of the alternatives, I just think he is consistently very good when he plays there. Was a big miss for us whilst he was out, hopefully he’s available all the way through to the end of the season? My preference is Goode and Turnbull plus 1 other if that’s the system. Like I said, the others have been very good too, I just happen to really like Turnbull.

He is our most underrated player in the squad by a distance. Fully agreed.

Then cream your pants.  I used to own one.  '79 model.  Traded it in for a 2 year-old Astra-2 estate that then got stolen.  Bought a Honda Integra with the proceeds (NOT the boy-racer one).  Days....they were..... those......  the     (who added "they"?)

Actually, I think you'll find that nostalgia is even better than it was at the time.

Morton was very good and his running into open spaces caused them all sorts of problems. Hoskins had a typical Hoskins game but his covering at wing back was excellent. As for his penalty put away with professional aplomb with a classy sway sent the goalie the wrong way.....leading scorer too!
Do you know Feeley some on here think he is rubbish should not be in the squad etc because he scores only from penalties. So what do you think Feeley?
All rise for the Hoskmeister..
I like him and he's a decent player. If he wasn't he wouldn't be second in the POTS thing.

The best thing about him is his hair and how it flaps in the wind when he's galloping like a gazelle down the wing.

Hope that clears things up Cecil

I once visited 365 different pubs in a calendar year in an Austin Maxi. There was 4 of us and we each had a T shirt printed with the phrase '365 Maxi Tour'. This got us into trouble on more than one occasion as the word Maxi looks unnervingly like Nazi when printed in italics.
