Morton does very well to win that penalty. He's a promising young lad..

Bar from a 15 minute spell, didn't think Exeter were up to much.
Thought Pollock did well in his 35 minutes.
Of course good to have McCormack back

Went off injured early in the game at Walsall.....was going for a scan last week, nothing was said afterwards...
Barnett let out on the radio that he’d spoken to Williams and he’s out for the season!

That’s a good win against a decent side. Big blow about Williams being out for the season.

I thought I heard Leon Barnett say McWilliams is out for the season. I could have misheard of course.

Won't make the autos if Willo's injured.

Brilliant result that was never in doubt. We also now require just a single point from our remaining matches to avoid relegation, so a brilliant day all round.

Don’t see us making the autos with or without him. He hasn’t looked at it for a while and even if he is fit I only see him as a bit part player with Morton and Oliver starting.

A lot is made of 'hoofball' being the poor man's football. Visiting fans (Port Vale, case as example) saying "I wouldn't want to watch that every week..blah blah". Today, the Cobblers were by far the more entertaining team. Exeter, laughably playing tippy tappy football had no way of coping with the Cobblers, who time after time put Morton or Oliver on for goal scoring opportunities. Even when Exeter should have been on for goal, passed sideways, back, allowing for the Cobblers to comfortably get back and snuff out any threat. Their number 11 (Williams?) was...or could have been a real handful...all over the park for the Exeter cause!

This. The thing it deprives us of is a forward to bring on from the bench. Anyone know when Harry Smith is due back? Would also be good to get some news on Olyianka (sp?). Anyway, an excellent and much-needed win today. Tuesday's game is a real opportunity. A win would put us in fifth and give us a three point cushion over Port Vale. Agree with Winslow that making the autos is very unlikely, but a win against Chelts would keep it just about alive. It's always a tricky place to go, though, and a draw would be a very decent result.

I genuinely hope there will be as much praise for Curle getting the tactics spot on, as there is for when some claim he gets it wrong.
Well done to him and the lads today.. Who got man of the match?

I didn't fancy us to get anything from the game today but to be fair we never looked in any danger and could have had a couple more goals to boot. A good result and nice to be back into the play off spots.
