Barnett let out on the radio that he’d spoken to Williams and he’s out for the season!
Leon said McWilliams!
Good summer to the lad because he has a bright future.

Well that's a better result and performance. Push on now and no more slip ups Mr Curle.👍

First half was dour, ugly football.

Second half much better especially when Oliver went off and Pollock came on. Morton was excellent.

Exeter passed it a lot but I can’t remember Cornell saving any shots.

Brilliant result that was never in doubt. We also now require just a single point from our remaining matches to avoid relegation, so a brilliant day all round.

No, if we get one more point only and Macclesfield win all of their games we will go down.

Very effective controlled performance today.
And credit today to KC who got it right tactically, and his substitutions worked a treat today

Yep, Carry on GPC.

It will be better than the Feely/ Baldy crap.

 Roll Eyes Grin Grin

It shows the versatility and strength in depth that the squad has when you have a bit part player like GPC controlling things and still get a result against one of the top teams in the division.

Having said that, I hope Baldy and Was aren't out for the rest of the season.

Singcobb, dont think Macc' come into it, Steveage can only get 55 points, Cobbs only need one more point or Stevenage not to win their next game.

I've had my eye on this and I've been watching Stevenage rather than Macc.  Obviously concerned now the Revmeister is at the helm.

Tuesday could be an important date in the Cobblers calendar.

Morton does very well to win that penalty.
He's a promising young lad..

The Hoskmeister is lethal from the spot

Morton was very good and his running into open spaces caused them all sorts of problems. Hoskins had a typical Hoskins game but his covering at wing back was excellent. As for his penalty put away with professional aplomb with a classy sway sent the goalie the wrong way.....leading scorer too!
Do you know Feeley some on here think he is rubbish should not be in the squad etc because he scores only from penalties. So what do you think Feeley?

I genuinely hope there will be as much praise for Curle getting the tactics spot on, as there is for when some claim he gets it wrong.

Well done to him and the lads today.. Who got man of the match?

Nicky Adams.

Don’t see us making the autos with or without him. He hasn’t looked at it for a while and even if he is fit I only see him as a bit part player with Morton and Oliver starting.
Nor do I frankly. It was more a tongue in cheek reference to his undoubted (imo) ability.
We could make it interesting though if we beat those around us on the run in.

A good win and a good second half performance.Three more important points in the bag and onto Cheltenham we go where a win would be huge for our playoff hopes.

Good performance today, especially second half. Exeter were not up to much, didn't know how to break us down when we had men behind the ball and looked quite ordinary. Pollock looked really up for it when he came on, making some excellent runs and tackles. Jones had his best game to date too. Credit to Curle today, he gets a lot of stick, but got tactics and substitutions spot on today , although an early goal always helps. Nice to be back in the play offs, just need to stay there now and on todays showing , look a decent organised team again.

Much much better today. I’d barely got to the front of the North Stand when the ball went over the top and Oliver lashed in. Hell of a finish.

After that I was so relaxed. Exeter genuinely didn’t scare me once today. I would be very surprised if they end the season in the top 3. To be honest, based on that, I’d love us to play them over two legs if we do secure a top 7 spot.

Morton is a great prospect. I’ll give Curle the credit that he deserves for bringing him in because he is really good. I’d have loved him to score today as it would have properly topped off his excellent performance.

Please make this comfortable performance the norm through to the end of April now!

Just seen the goals again. Morton did so good to win the pen  Shocked and Vadaine really did take his goal nicely.

Let’s follow it up on Tuesday now.
