Big Bang = 2 promotions in the next four seasons but the chance it all goes horribly wrong and we're back stuck here with no money in 5 years time. The classic rollercoaster scenario.
Guaranteed progression - we improve a guaranteed 2 league places per year for the next 20 years and become an established Championship side. The slow and steady scenario
Just interested in getting an insight into everyones disposition...

Difficult one, you'd hope that if we had the two promitionws we'd actually prepare as we went along for life in the higher division, but even if you prepare you could still come back down. FFP would put paid to teams "buying their way" up the divisions nowadays. If we had the foresight and the progress off the pitch hand in hand with that on the pitch then promotion as quick as possible and keep building.
AS for the other scenario you could never guarantee that type of progress either, so its a difficult question to answer.
I'll vote BIG BANG but on the proviso that you had everything in place to give you the greatest chance of staying where you'd got to.

I don't know if you can ever be prepared for promotion and playing in a higher league you just have to grab it when the chance comes along. I voted Big Bang for these reasons and because I'm not getting any younger!

Big Bang. Much more exciting. Plus if the catch is we end up back where we currently are and as we are (with no money), what kind of a deterrent is that?

A brief explanation of how it must go in one minute or less.
Every club in the EFL should be operated on around 30% less than the turnover based on the average gates and matchday income, that should be across the board and irrespective of any investor input. The 30% should be used to cover any variations or shortfalls and maintain and develop the infrastructure. Every club should operate under strict criteria including a full youth system etc. There should be a % of shareholding by the supporters. Should someone want to invest regarding capital expenditure then so be it, but the operating budgets remain the same without exception. That should be the future of lower league football in this country, it's the only way, and the current wild and dangerous financial decision making has to stop.
Supporters demanding this and that are enablers and no better than these incompetent individuals that take over a club, over commit financially and walk off into the sunset whilst as club that has existed over 3 centuries goes down the toilet along with the loyal support base that may have been attending matches for 40 or 50 years plus. It's a disgrace that this should be happening and the EFL hierarchy should hang their heads in shame for allowing matters to get like this. Any other strategy is nonsense and success or failure should be left to the unpredictability of sport rather than the neolithic financial incompetence of any given board, and how much they are prepared to chuck at their dangerous aspirations.
FFS wake up everyone will you. Hope that clarifies my disposition?

I appreciate that both scenarios are (in our current position) unlikely.
They are hypothetical scenarios, that's all. Both provide the same outcome, just one does it very quickly but with no guarantee it lasts, whereas the other is much, much slower but has a guaranteed end payoff.
Risky stocks or safe bonds.
We live in a live fast, die young, rock n roll generation! LOL
