Do we know if we will be allowed into the club house this year .... Or will we have to endure the "village".
Could mean drinks in Stroud or Dursley

Would take sizeable profit to consider that Deepcut  Grin Iíve been to FGR once and that was enough for me. Honestly hated everything about the place.
I went when we played them in the FA Cup and it was a good day, using their club house, which was really nice. I went last year and it was the most unwelcome I've ever felt at a League 2 ground, drink in a tent , 2 portaloo's and stand in the open when the covered ends have very few people in them. I wouldn't go if it was free !

I suspect we may get away with Tuesday but not sure after that .

Howís that then considering thereís a report in The Times this morning saying that when the government have their COBRA meeting this morning they are going to order all sporting events to be played behind closed doors? My observation would be that this is all well and good until players start coming down with it then they will have no option but to suspend leagues.

Obvious as the day is long, behind closed doors is going to be the norm for the foreseeable future. Like the crack about the over 70s, every time I attend a Cobblers away game the over 70s are in the majority hence why there is so much nostalgia and negativity about the club. it is  not just away from home but at home as well where in the West Stand in particular the over 70s whinge to their hearts content.

Simple. If you look at any or most of Clarksy's posts they all come across as the little boy in the playground pouring cold water over away trips etc because he isn't going...who'd want to go to Plymouth, Tranmere blah blah! A negative post always put out by him!
Let's see if your Times (over-hype) comes true by Saturday!

Following the WHO's (imo, more over-hype comparing older fatalities with normal flu) report, it would be rather a knee-jerk reaction to be seen to be doing something.
South Korea are leading the way with 10,000 tests per 1 million population per day. UK currently on 380 odd. That rather than knee jerk reactions would be the way forward...given Cheltenham is on today too!

Having said that there are now conflicting reports suggesting that the weekend fixtures will run as normal - itís all a bit of a mess to be honest.

The biggest issue here is cashflow.
It might send clubs out of business .

Might sends clubs out of business - you mean just like whats going to happen to the airline industry.Too many lower league clubs are already on the brink expect a few more Bury, Bolton, and Macclesfield type cave ins.

Itís lucky we didnít splash out with the FA Cup money - looks like weíre going to need it. Iíve read that one possibility is postponing the euros and extending the season into the summer but I canít see how that would work given that the majority of players contracts expire at the end of May.

It seems that the logical option is to suspend the football season by between 2-4 weeks as we have seen elsewhere, extend the season in to May & June and perhaps postpone the Euro 2020 tournament by 12 months.

Footballers, managers and officials are no more immune to this than anyone else is, so playing behind closed doors is totally illogical.

Or, we could all follow Beds example and watch the match from the hill?  Grin

Maybe Beds knew something we didn't? Shocked

I agree that is the logical option but as I said earlier, players contracts expire at the end of may so it would open a can of worms.
