On the road again for our next game, we travel to Forest Green Rovers.
They are fresh off the back of a superb 2-0 win at leaders Swindon on Saturday, however they have lost every game they have played at home in 2020. They have won 8 games on the road but only 5 at home this season. Currently Mark Coopers side sit 9 points off the playoff places but do have a game in hand.
The victory on Saturday was their first win in nine games overall, and the win over Macclesfield at home in December is their only home league win since October.

Not much of a head to head, with only 4 previous meetings. We did win 3-0 there in the FA Cup in 2011, last season saw the first league meetings with 2-1 wins recorded by the home side on both occasions, as well as injury time winners in those games too. A 1-0 win for us earlier this season at the PTS completes the history.

Will we all be banned from attending or will it just be the over 70's, which'll probably take away a good number of our away support anyway... Grin

Four of us from Oxford/Swindon into Stroud for 12pm.
At least this season, buses to Nailsworth. New Year's day was the £17 each way taxi service!

I'll be driving, the ground guide indicates a school nearby or residential parking, any top tips from previous visits?

Residential parking was fine last year, ended up on a side street about a 10 minute walk - somewhere off Nortonwood

Ahh, Mr Duncan...we've missed you!!

For those with good memories he took charge of the last game of the season back in 2013/14.....when Oxford took the lead on 7 minutes through Ryan Williams and we were staring relegation to the Conference in the face. He then sent off their goalscorer after 20 minutes, we came back to win 3-1 and stayed up!

If you drive past the school and then just past the ground (with it on your LHS), there's a detached house that had it's garden open for parking for a charge. Opposite the same house there is just enough room to park on the grass verge for a few cars. From there you are 100 yds from the hospitality tent. We didn't even get there particularly early last year, most people seemed to have stopped and started walking to the ground from before the school.

Parked in a street called Bunting Hill not too far from the ground and had a couple of pints in the George Inn before walking back up the hill.

FGR have the most away points in the division but only Stevenage and Mansfield have fewer home points, scoring only 16 goals in 17 games and only 4 times scoring more than once. They have lost all of their last 5 home games conceding 12 goals so are in a bit of a stew.
With 3 points at steak our beefy defense can chop down their attacking threat and if we are not too sheepish in front of goal I ham confident we can bring home the bacon with a win at their joint.

Would take sizeable profit to consider that Deepcut  Grin I’ve been to FGR once and that was enough for me. Honestly hated everything about the place.

I may be of the same opinion after Saturday. I'm currently a FGR virgin...  Wink
