Difficult times and I wouldn't be surprised if it finished one or two clubs. Macclesfield were on the brink anyway, so no income for a month or 3 and bills/wages to pay could cripple them.
I would look at some kind of advance against the next one or two seasons Solidarity Payments. The advances would be taken back over the next few seasons against the remainder of the Solidarity monies owing. This would enable budgetary planning and it might even persuade clubs to keep their player costs down. New player contracts would have to be set at lower rates. We are all after all going to suffer in our pockets one way or another owing to this crisis.
