Ian Henderson has been quite prolific but in 26 appearances never scored for us.
Although only with us for a short time I used to like Pat Terry (10 goals in 24 games). His career statistics of 150 goals in 325 games is most impressive, almost a goal every other game.

No question. Bert Dawes top of the list, amazing he hasn't been mentioned. He was such a talented striker. Didn't need a playmaker, he could do it on his own. Took a goal like Mark Bosnich took a line.

Wish it had of been Dave Kitson. Remember him playing against us around that time and he was outstanding.

Anyone remember Magno Viera? Didn't he score a couple and go dancing along the touch line?

A VERY IMPORTANT GOAL was scored by a certain Pat Gavin. Never will I forget that day at Gay Meadow.

Bert Dawes NTFC 1929 - 1933, 183 Apps + 103 goals went onto play for CPalace(2), Luton and Aldershot. Sounds like the equivalent of C Holton! Died in 1973.
So SOG did you see him play? If so you must be well into your 90's!

Now your pushing the boat out, including Viera under the heading of "top ten strikers". You may as well include Efon Elad. Or Gilzean with his dodgy knees. Or Itchy Anya. (Itchy Anus we used to call him). Which brings me to another point. Wadey, me old mate, these threads are primarily your baby. So start another set , about the worst players we have seen in a claret shirt. Just for fun, as we are all bored. And no mentions of Alastair Slowe, or those two Austrians that Johnson signed. Fancy it?

The Secret Footballer ??
Sorted that out Rog. Kitson anonymously wrote a couple of books As “The Secret Footballer” doing an exposé on professional football and all the high jinks, seedy behaviour and incompetence. Apparently he likes Shakespeare his team mates like GQ and Hello, he likes savouring fine wine, they all binging on tequila slammers and pints of champagne top whilst taking advantage of impressionable ladies, that sort of stuff. Typical day at Moulton College then?
