...so far this season, that is!
I won't spoil it by saying where we come!

That wasn't as good as I was expecting, being below a few of those others is surprising...

It shows the lack of a local derby this year to inflate the average.

Talking of Derby if you add in that match we would be near the top 5!

That's really poor. We definitely shouldn't be behind a lot of those clubs, especially considering our geographical advantage.

Must try harder.

We hadn't played Cambridge yet, but have played the lies of Walsall, Cheltenham, Stevenage, Leyton Orient....hardly hundreds of miles away.

It is rightr though that the figures are skewed...had we had a trip to MK and taken 3000-4000 then we'd be a lot higher in the "table"

Surprising to see the likes of Scunny, Crewe, even Walsall above us.

Another thing, 3 of those 4 you mention finished up being night games due to our cup run.

It means very little at this stage of events.

Plymouth is impressive though. That's miles from anywhere.

Rumour has it that they took 15,000 to Exeter  Grin

There's always the Swings & Roundabouts to take into account of course but, Oldham having Bradford, Salford, Crewe, Morecambe, Macclesfield and even Vale in touching distance, accounts for their figures. Sc***horpe had sellouts at Salford and of course Grimsby under the belt. Orient...first season back - though to be fair, always quite well supported away as well as home.
Plymouth definitely deserves the plaudits, year in year out!

Just 1,154 was the official away following on the day, to see them get trounced 4-0!

They did however take the biggest away following in League 2 this season.....to Swindon, where 2431 Pilgrims were in attendance.

The biggest away following in the whole EFL has come in League 1 where Coventry took 6274 to MK, which eclipses anything in the Championship (5644 Leeds at Preston leads the way)

I'd say easily the most disappointing with swathes of no shows this season was Cheltenham away!

That's the only one I've missed this season, unfortunately I was officiating down in Folkestone which was previously/already arranged ...

Very disappointing support - Chelts only 70 odd miles away! Last season game at Cheltenham was better supported as was the play off semi's which was packed plus a sizeable overflow in side stand. Skanthorpe
had a higher away average with **** poor home attendances....hardly makes sense!

If I recall correctly, last seasons attendance was affected by the bad weather and that the game was in doubt?
As it was, it was a good weather day...

Very Surprising Table.....with us in a very lowly position. I would imagine that no Cobblers fan could have best guessed that......With only Plymouth , Bradford with their fanbase & Swindon & Crewe with the success being anticipated.

Perhaps a bit skewed/ not a full season, as said, but also maybe reflects the lack of entertainment dished up this season.

& to think I, like many, prefer the Away games to the Homes ( but then every game is an away travel for me.)

Contrasting away supports from local League One clubs...

Posh - 734
MK Dons - 366
Oxford Utd - 904
Wycombe - 660
Coventry City - 1,825
