https://www.ntfccommunity.co.uk/?fbclid=IwAR1d78r2oLMZ_1LxFZHUQ3Dj4OG1f4URwv4VQDQyNAhCkG8S7WUt_Z3JHCkThe Northampton Town FC Community Trust has been made aware through social media about donations to be received from the sale of facemasks by the Supporters Trust.
Unfortunately this endeavour has been done without any prior knowledge or approval from ourselves and therefore we will not be accepting any donations from this.
Whilst we are grateful of any donations we receive generally, we have to protect our reputation and we have no knowledge or information that these facemasks are of an acceptable standard.
Please understand that the Northampton Town FC Community Trust does not approve or accept any liability for these masks, and will receive no funding from the sale. What a strange statement, this is what is stated at the point of sale
"IMPORTANT: The masks on offer are not medical masks or manufactured to the specification of protective equipment required for use within clinical environments.
However, they will help stop you touching your face, reinforce social distancing and will also help catch coughs and sneezes. They should be washed after every use (they can be machine-washed at 40c)."
These masks are being manufactured in the UK by a company that has made thousands of them for Wycombe Wanderers and are exactly the same standard has ones sold by lots of sporting clubs, including the Saints. What makes it even more strange is that the Community Trust didn't even ask anything about them or ask to see one. It's almost like someone else made up their mind for them
