If it looks like the classic Lotto shirt from the mid 90s then I am all for it. Proper claret colour, and a simple logo. I remember talking to an Everton fan in the King Billy one night, he could not understand why we had such a sponsor, and theirs was a local butchers (I think) As an aside, I have just taken a delivery of Old Hooky from the brewery. It took two days, but was worth the wait. Ching Ching as it turned up. Not happy with the driver though. Miserable c***. You dont get a tip or feedback pal.

Ironically, in the village of Hook Norton itself is a small independent brewery - Turpin, which you can find in a couple of pubs in the area - namely Banbury, which I find much nicer than Hook Norton.

Have tried a couple of their keg beers, not bad at all. I have been surviving on Potbelly during lockdown, just about to order my 4th case

Hook Norton brew decent ales and have a great shop at the brewery. I worked in Banbury for a few years, so saw a lot of it about. Ye Olde Reindeer Inn in the town was great. Had a case of Phipps' special pint bottled ales delivered for V E Day, 8 bottles for £20' free delivery next day. It included Cobblers Ale.

I was exited about the Nike partnership to start with, but in all honestly the generic Nike templates are boring and shared with a dozen other clubs each year, and I'm not as massive fan of the material either.
Only hope I have for this is that we don't end up getting pushed to the back of the queue and have to play the first game of the season with our old shirts because of delays, which happened the last time we used a smaller producer.

I think that it was last season that FGR had to purchase a complete Sunday League kit from a local sports shop/supplier for their first half a dozen games when they had Hummel initially!!

Don't worry, welcome back! Used to work for a decorators merchants in Leicester years ago. Got angry with the paint tinter every night when turning it off, wondering which dick of a programmer thought it was clever to have the programme saying it was 'excited' every day when turning off...after a couple of years of shaking my fist at the invisible programmer, realised the computer when shutting down for the night said; This computer has been exited!

Here was the view from the FGR person: "Good luck with Hummel, they failed to deliver for us...literally...despite having several months lead in time our kit failed to arrive for the first game of the season. The day before the game against Grimsby the club bought a set of kit from a local sports shop, who sent them up on the day of the game by courier. We had to wear the kit, home and away, for the first couple of months of the season until PlayerLayer produced kit for us. Despite not being our real colours the strip provided by the sports shop, very similar to Man City but with a slightly brighter blue, became a fans favourite.".

They were originally black and white before Chairman Vince's little green book decided green was the eco reflective way forward...and seemingly a splash of sky blue thrown in! What is it about Green Rovers and colours?

Looking at world football Lanus, Torino and Metz all play in our colours and their shirts both present and historical are pretty much identical to each other and ours? I would personally like to see some flamboyant ruffles a la Prince, Adam Ant, Lawrence Lewellyn Bowen etc? However in hereditary terms the Northampton Coat of Arms is claret green and white so perhaps we should really be similar colouring to Fluminense?

The Bumble Bees... Was that a "Whoosh" I saw over every other poster's head? That made me chuckle! Best off-the-cuff post in years! If we get promoted, do you think we could get the real one on loan?

I bought the new Hummell training top. Nice design but the material feels cheap compared to the Nike range. I do a lot of running but don't fancy running for long in that.
