We’re all (not) going to Wembley.
Never write us off. Ironically I’m sure we’d have struggled if we’d won 2 nil in the first leg.

Question for the club. Does Morton's forehead join Pat Gavin's arse in the Cobbler's museum?

What a truly amazing performance, dominated throughout. Well done Keith , you got everything spot on tonight, the preparation, the mental strength. I have criticised in the past, when frustrated, but tonight you and the lads gave us one of best ever games, that’s up there with the best. Absolutely buzzing UTC

Absolute credit where credit is due - like the football or not - that was a monumental performance .
Watson had a brilliant game , McCormack ran the first half , Moreton was colossal , Goode was superb and Oliver and Adams dominated .
I mean - we were brilliant tonight , you can’t say otherwise

Thought we did ok  - in fact got better in the 2nd half! Defence played well and goalie looked very safe.  I am glad we put to bed that old hoary chestnut  that we can't play. After all we have done it a few times this season. KC is clearly hear here next season what ever happens - unless he is poached! Defensively we were pretty sound but most importantly the midfield worked well and hard. MaC and Watson had splendid games. Oliver and Morton won us the game.  Not entirely surprised that we came from behind to win as Cheltenham really did flatter to deceive in first leg and as commented on here we did miss one or two decent chances in the first leg.  Three things from that game:

1) Manager made the correct team selection, for example Harriman outstanding.
2) Never ever write off a Northampton side or player(s)
3) Try your very best not to be outwardly negative.

Good to see the sheer exultations on their faces for the third goal and especially at the final whistle. They really deserved it to a man.

Not important of course but I thought both Curle and Morton gave fine, considered interviews post match and Duff gave us credit whilst noting our style of play !

Guardian looking for anti Gov'ment columnists - write what they want to hear and you are in.
What a shame some had to infect a very good thread with  cheap political point scoring.

Surely we could have Wembley at 20% capacity & still remain a few seats apart? I'll draw the lots.

The change in formation seems to have worked wonders, but the real difference was lumping it to Oliver rather than lumping it to no-one, plus occasionally taking a few passes before hoofing it.

Also, maybe Sammy has fallen into his ideal position here, somewhere where he doesn't need to cross or shoot, but where he can run around and close down to his heart content and put through the occasional decent pass.
