I would imagine should WBA likely go up & we get promoted then we'd have a great shot at keeping hold of Morton for another year. Don't think there's any way he'll come back to League Two after that performance. I get tired just watching him!

Yes, he takes great delight in his grubby views.
Oh, I had  never noticed. Tonight however, I'm in the mood to forgive. I can't imagine why.

Ok then, will we win the final  Grin
In fact I reckon this has got sod all to do with Keith Curle or the players and is solely down to my positive mental attitude. Good job I am here really!

Decent interview after the game from the Cheltenham manager too - very open and honest.

Intensity (abstract noun)
A performance or action, maintaining such high levels of energy in a set period of time, such as Northampton Town's performance at the Jonny Rocks Stadium, Cheltenham in June 2020.

Well done to the players tonight, a great preformance on the pitch, some playing like their careers depended on it, and for a few it probably did.
A lot more energy, a lot more passion and a lot more composure. Can only remember about three Goode long throws in the whole game, we found another dimension!

We didn't let Cheltenham play, and that early goal was important. Bossed the game in its entirety and deserved to go through.

KC....a little tweak was all that was needed, and as Evers says we can play.....every now and again when the players are allowed to! For me that had echos of the game at Burton, not only stopping the opposition from playing but imposing our style on them.
Credit also for his post-match interview, and the talk of the mental side of the game, he instilled that confidence in the players tonight. It would have been easy to just say "go out and play and lets see what happens"...but the preparation seemed to be spot on, and the same players (bar one change) turned in a performance streets ahead of that of only a few days earlier.

We were good tonight, and it was an enjoyable game to watch. Hopefully these performances become more of the norm than just one-offs.....I for one would be a lot happier if they did!

I don’t know even if we don’t go up I would hope that they’d look at the fact that the manager rates him, he’s playing regularly, playing well and scoring goals which is all amazing for his development.
He could go somewhere else and after a couple of games the manager might not fancy him and game time would be limited. If I was someone at WBA and tracking his progress I would happily sent back to us.

If we don’t go up peterborough will sign him permanently
They know talent when they see it and back it up with hard cash

Sad but true

Anyway let’s enjoy him while we’ve got him

Well that was sublime wasn't it? I knew we could win but I didn't think we would win, certainly not like that. Completely dominant from start to finish, so reminiscent of 1998. A fairly low key build up to the game, unlike 1998 but people will be talking about us now, Cheltenham were shell shocked and all that pressure helped force the errors that led to the second and third goals.
All the negativity before kick- off from some was way over the top, and after the other night. We are what we are, I like KC and really hope he can finally get a promotion on his CV and get us in League One.
A real pity as fans we couldn't be there tonight and we'll miss Wembley which takes some of the shine off but let's enjoy talking about tonight and look forward to the final. Anything can happen!

Something dawned on me as I was laying in bed last night and trying to get to sleep - in 38 L2 matches Cheltenham only conceded 30 goals, which means we scored 10% of all the goals they let in all season, just during last night's match!!!

I think when you put it like that it makes the team's achievement even more impressive.

Epic indeed. Had no expectations at all - just the blind hope that has got me through 50 years as a Cobblers supporter. However, they put right everything that was wrong last Thursday; the players who didn't turn up at Sixfields played liked demons. MacCormack was absolute class. Watson ran, covered and harried all night. Oliver - must be his best Cobblers performance - just won every header. Morton ran his socks off and was there when it counted, and should really have scored a couple more - but if he stays fit he will achieve a lot. Adams - great game. SuperSam slotted in well and dashed around with great verve - he will need to keep the tash and goatee as a talisman. All the defenders solid, keeper kept his concentration despite having so little to do. Harriman put in a great shift and so alert and quick to set up the winner.
Let's hope they can get it right again at Wembley. Come on Keef - you got them fired up perfectly last night. Make the Town proud during these strange and difficult times. Well - even more proud than we already are!

The most comfortable and uncomfortable game I've ever watched.

Comfortable being on my sofa and the teams dominance over Cheltenham. Uncomfortable for 87 mins after we scored as I couldn't breathe! Somehow being at the game is a lot easier as you're mates are around to share the pressure but home alone is agony!

The 2am k/o here was difficult enough, getting through the Exeter game my eyes were heavy but once we scored, you had that feeling as you could see Chelts were shitting it. Nice assist from Tozer.

The performance and effort from everyone who played was Unbelievable Jeff
