Immense performances back to back.
I can't add anything that hasn't already been said by you boys and girls but I'm so very glad for KC and his family. So proud of his team.
What will be refreshing over the last promotion is that, we can enjoy the off season knowing the manager and the heartbeat of the side will be here when they walk out again. Not instantly fuck off and disintegrate the team as soon as the champagnes drunk.
If we can get that bloody stand finished before fans get back, that would also be handy.

Hi,Cobblers fans,Argyle fan here.Huge congratulations on your fantastic win and promotion last night.I have a soft spot for the cobblers as i lived in Brixworth between 97 and 04 and used to go to sixfields when i couldn,t get to an Argyle game and i still have many friends living in the area. So stuffing that little football club up the A38 4-0 was an added bonus. See you in league one next season !

Can’t get over how good the last 8 days have been for the club!
4-0 in a Play Off Final well and truly makes up for the disaster that was Bradford City. I remember saying in pre-season how important it was that we had signed so many players with promotion experience and so it has proven.
Massively happy for you Keith Curle. You looked truly emotional yesterday after finally securing your first promotion, and what an amazing way to have done it!

I'm almost tempted to stay away from Wembley in future if it means we walk through matches

As a lot of you will know, I spend quite a bit of my work time in the south west. I am due in Exeter and Plymouth either later this week, or early next week. I have to say, I got a very different flavour texts off of the Plymouth and Torbay guys, compared to the Exeter folk. I resisted the temptation to get into anything with the Exeter bunch. But it's fair to say, they have not been very charitable about us.

Just got up after celebrating last night's amazing victory. Well done to all at sixfields and thanks from me for what will be a night I'll never forget. Being a cobbler always has it's ups and downs but ups like yesterday more than make up for the downs. Bring on the mongs and scum.

What an absolutely tremendous result for the club. Another outstanding team performance from the lads. To play like that in a final is astonishing. Goode and Morton outstanding once again and credit to Marshall who I thought was a constant threat when he came on. Fair play to the people on here who are openly admitting they got it wrong on KC. Those of us on here who defended him were often portrayed as being deluded and unrealistic. Some on here made it their personal mission to attack KC at any slight opportunity which I think is a shame. I’m thrilled that he’s managed to serve up some humble pie to a lot of the ‘experts’ on here. We spent a lot of the season in and around the top 7 so how people were so sure we wouldn’t go up was beyond me. I won’t go too much further into it as now is the time to celebrate but hopefully a lesson has been learned amongst some of our fans. This is a results business. Many former managers have tried playing attractive football and failed miserably. You can bang on about style all you want. Cheltenham and Exeter play more attractive football than us but out of the three of us I know which team I’d rather be right now

There is nothing wrong in getting the ball into forward positions quickly and I particularly like the intesity we have shown in the last 2 games. Several teams, including promoted Crewe and Plymouth, have come and played pretty tippy tappy football and gone home beaten. Aftermatch quote from the Cheltenham manager "we got beaten up" Aftermatch quote from the Exeter manager "I picked my most aggresive team as we knew what was coming but we could not handle it". It can be effective in division 1 as was proved by our demolition of Burton so bring on Sunderland, Ipswich et al and see how they cope. Personally pleased for KC as I have said many times I consider him to be better than any other manager since CW. He has great attention to detail and thought it was interesting when he recently said he does not watch videos of opposition performances with his managerial team as he considers it better for them all to watch individually and then discuss weaknesses they have spotted.

To be fair to Exeter they were fucked before they even kicked a ball.
Did you see the Chris Martin cut out? Way more more charisma than the original but still... what a cunt.

I agree, rather like us in 2013 when Boothroyd told the players of his selection!

That’s one question but is it true that we have taken the largest numbers any club has ever taken to Wembley and also the smallest ? Or did Coventry beat our figure ?
I think Millwall beat our figure.
Yep, Millwall beat it the following season

Wasn't it Manchester City that beat it the following season when they beat Gillingham in the third tier play off?

That might be the highest crowd but the highest support for one club was definiately Millwall

Been having a read of the Exeter forum. Lots of slating their manager and team and they shouldn't have tried to match us physically as we were too good at it. Most admit we were bloody good with special mentions of Goode, Adams and Hoskins. Some think we'd more than hold our own in League One as we were a class apart. Nice to hear.

One thing that hasn’t been picked up on much in all the discussions which I think is key to the change around was the use of Harriman and Hoskins in different roles . Hoskins has been the first choice wing back most of the season with some success going forward particularly. The change to Harriman gave us more stability at the back and I notice Goode was asked to push forward much more in place of Harriman in wide areas . Goode’s crossing was very good from those positions . Hoskins then played the role Anderson had been playing to better effect . These subtle changes made us more stable at the back and gave us more options going forward . Plus , of course McCormack was available which made a difference all season . Just my view .

I’ve read some of it as well, although struggled to see them give us any credit at all? From what I read we were a bunch of leg swinging Neanderthals and they are Barcelona but simply failed to turn up. Rather unkind, if I wasn’t so deliriously happy it might have cast a little cloud over my celebrations? Note to self, don’t go to Exeter, they’re all on drugs?
