Theo Foley RIP. One of the great Cobblers, both as player and manager passed away today. We should never forget those that gave so much in the cause of our club. May he rest in peace.

Kiernan, Large, Branston, Hunt, Leek ,Harvey, Billy Hails, Holton, Ashworth, Etheridge,Livesey Graham Moore, Harry Walden, Leck, Don Martin and now Foley yesterday. Sorry to hear of Foleys passing . Of that great side(s) from the 60's some have passed on, but quite a few are still going ; I believe Tommy Robson,Mike Everitt,Joe Broadfoot, George Hudson, Barry Lines , John Mackin and Bobby Brown are still battling on . That Valhalla in the sky must have a special place for Cobblers players. I do miss most of them. 5th Correction Forgot the great John Kurilla died 2019 - the man who out tackled Dave McKay against Spurs

Very sad news, Theo being captain of the cobblers during those memorable seasons in the top 2 divisions. Have we had a better right back since? A good player and a good man, RIP Theo and thanks for the memories.

Very sad news...Top player, as a manager had the misfortune to be here during the McRitchie debacle....Also loved his pie and chip shop in Kingsthorpe back in the day.

I can still see the headline on the back page of the newspaper “Cobblers George” which was referring to Theo leaving Arsenal as assistant manager to George Graham to join the mighty Cobbs as manager. RIP Theo.

RIP Theo. He was captain on my1st ever game V Preston Feb 13th we won 2-1. I think (IM sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong) that he captained ROI a few times as well. As already said on here he did a decent job under difficult circumstances when he managed us. A win on Monday would be a perfect send off for one true greats. Condolences to his Family.

Theo actually played in my first ever Cobblers game but for Exeter of all teams. A few years later the mainstay of our rise through the leagues. Great player , captain and penalty taker. If anyone is a Cobblers' legend, he is.

He played in the first game I saw, and scored a penalty, against West Ham. A great loss to the Cobblers family. RIP.

Absolutely. He put together a decent side, but unfortunately a spate of early injuries curtailed what might have been. A real good bloke. Oh, and I used to get pie and chips for free! R.I.P. Theo.

He was playing for the first games I watched, although I would have been too young to remember anything specific. He was a top coach/assistant manager for The Arsenal before taking over the top job with us. Spoke to him earlier in the year when he was promoting his book alongside Graham Carr. True Cobblers legend. R. I. P. Theo... 🇱🇻

Arsenal didn't yesterday, but I hope that we do wear a black armband or some other recognition at Wembley tonight for Theo?

Good shout DC.
Just read in the programme which says that "A pre-match tribute will be held in memory of Theo Foley"
