So, rumour has it that fans may be allowed back in from the start of the 20/21 season...
I've heard 25% of ground capacity, so if our capacity is approx 7800 then that would be 1950 fans allowed in...
I assume no away fans would be allowed so that would solely be 1950 home supporters in our case...
I would hope the club ensure the 1950 are made up of those that renewed/purchased season tickets once we hit the 1950 mark, rather than say, we sell 3000 season tickets & everyone then gets put into a lucky dip!
It seems obvious but you never know!

It's not going to be much of an incentive to buy a season ticket if you are not going to be allowed in the ground for the games. I would suggest a ration system would be fairest, getting one game in two or something similar.

No, I reckon us long term ST holders, who have supported the club thru thick and thin, should ALWAYS get priority and their seats. I have had mine for over 20+ years, and paid literally tens of thousands of £‘S. So why should I lose my seat to someone who has just bought a seat this year, and who is jumping on the promotion feel good factor as “Johnny come lately’s”. I know it sounds selfish, but would the club really want to piss off its financial bedrock?

Out of interest, does anyone know how many STs we usually sell each year - or last time we were in L1?

I believe the number is about 3,000 for a good season, but probably averages out at 2,500. Although this is only hearsay (queue crap music jokes!!)

It’ll be on a rota system as you can’t charge people the same price and one has access to more games than another. That’s hardly going to encourage sales of new season ticket holders is it??? More of a worry are the rumours that it may be age limited as younger fans are less likely to be effected and older fans may be banned from attending until it’s safe !! Sensible but who knows??

Just look at it as a charity donation to keep the club afloat. If you get to actually see some live action it'll be a bonus. I'm sure it'll be another strange season, especially when we hit the winter months. I think as long as no one has bought one thinking they are going to see a full set of home matches it'll be OK, although I'm sure they'll be some unhappy punters. Keeping the over 50's away should be a good starter for 10 and allow plenty of room

Don't worry, I have no interest in attending in such conditions... sitting with a few old statuesque farts, no away fans, no atmosphere! When we can travel away under normal circumstances, count me in! Speaking of away games, still nothing on refunds of last season's away tickets since the statement s couple of months back!

Afraid to say the Club should really be doing what Wycombe are doing, selling no more than the expected reduced capacity until things change. Otherwise they are selling a service they cannot provide.

Like us, they have a big hill, they should start selling tickets for there...

The club were trumpeting the fact they'd sold 1000 season tickets......if you consider that 3000 would be a good total for us in League 1 it sort of suggests many people are still not buying due to the uncertainty, whether that be games taking place, or them feeling safe attending games that do actually take place.

As it's the older generation who appear to have accepted the government covid guidelines and adhered to them perhaps it is they who should be given priority as some of the younger people have adopted a "this does not apply to us" attitude.

Right.. I want to apologise to the club. It was my fault that I couldn't do the online purchase, due to having two emails attached to my account.
Thank you to the kind lady in the ticket office for your assistance.
I am now fully signed up to another roller coaster season.
I also had a problem booking online, which was my own fault. The Ticket Office lady was so helpful, answering emails in her own time and sorting everything out. Brilliant!

I'm sorry but this is just b*llocks. The number of elderly people that I have seen flouting lockdown rules since day one is insane. The elderly were the last to leave the pubs pre-lockdown and the first to rush back afterwards. Proper keep calm and carry on stuff. Not like they're the ones who are likely to need a hospital bed when they get it. Madness.

We've been sticking to the guidelines pretty rigidly throughout lockdown, but when we've been out for a walk the vast majority of younger people have adhered closely to social distancing, waited patiently to pass where the pavement narrows, politely acknowledged when you've done the same etc. It's the older people who've barged past, not waited, not kept a distance when it's more than possible to do so and generally been quite rude. Not all of them of course, but disproportionately more older people don't seem to give a toss.
