Hi everyone, I run a wee blog about special and interesting football kits for which I try to write an article every week, and this time around I've covered an old Cobblers shirt from just over a decade ago which some of you would probably rather forget; the 2008/2009 home shirt that, inexplicably, had yellow sides alongside that godawful modern crest. The shirt is matchworn, so I've also laboured to write about the player and the season, which ended in relegation back to League 2. Do have a read;

I've also previously written about the 2018/2019 home shirt, which I got from the club's Poppy auction and which was worn by David Buchanan;

As I am not a fan of the club per se, I'd be very happy to get some feedback and hear if I missed or got anything wrong. Also very curious to hear whether you're happy with the club's switch from Nike to hummel, your memories of the claret/yellow, and what your overall favourite NTFC kits are.

This may explain why the GOLD sides aren't quite as inexplicable as you think. https://www.flaginstitute.org/wp/flags/northamptonshire-flag/

 Grin  However, the article is stating that the county colours are gold and maroon?

The council calls the flag's colours maroon and gold, not my choice of words certainly!
