Should have gone for an up & coming manager. David Livermore is doing a great job as player/manager at Histon. No money, a team full of kids, and playing great football despite the points penalty. He'll know the players to pick of from non-league for the summer rebuilding.

David Livermore is a good shout to be fair. Good league experience, and a knowledge of lower league players and managing a team in a budget. |

Oooooh Carlo, a bite and so soon. I seem to have hit a nerve, are you still in grieving for GJ's prefusal to have your babies? I have trouble navigating these internet sites, I've trawled through this place but couldn't find the 'Elite band' section anywhere. I can't make my mind up wether this site is better off or not without Marvo gracing it's pages. Where we had Marvo's thought provoking posts and childish bickering in equal measures we now seem to have a site dominated by yes men and morons. I'm sure you'll be reading Marvo, don't worry mate, we all make monumental errors of judgement.  Haven't seen you for a while. hope you are well mate. |

He still proclaims that he was right and it was the 'fickle supporters' fault for GJ leaving too early in his postings in the C&E.  He has also been very hypocritical (nothing has changed there then) in his criticism of Steve Riches, but that is another issue. |

It was common knowledge what happened. It was reported he was I'll after IT happened but never elaborated on. Then there was resignationgate. Steve riches is usually on the money and reported a resignation was put forward. Oh no it wasn't cried the club and promptly censored the chron. Poor old Steve gets the chop. On the radio the other night GJ categorically denied he'd ever handed in a resignation. Pure hypothesis and nothing more on my part. IT happens at half time. What the bloody he'll are you up to yells someone. Back me or sack me GJ may have uttered. Now at this point you could see how a mix up occured. This tale was regaled to me by an un named player and I have no idea how true it was but IT did happen and shortly afterwards GJ couldn't work because he was ill. It was never elaborated on and after IT happened and GJ became ill he soon made a swift recovery and returned to work. GJ maintains he never offered to resign after IT happened and we must take him at his word. I think now the time has come for Steve riches to return to the chron and ec. Every man can make one mistake |
