Just finished watching the Netflix series 'The English Game' which is about the beginning/early years of football in the 1800's. (6 Episodes) I thought that it was very good. Although not entirely historically accurate, the main 'players' of the time (Arthur Kinnaird and Fergus Suter) are represented, to provide an understanding of where it all began. Recommended.

I had a lot of time on my hands for about 6-7 weeks in March / April as I was at home self isolating due to contracting Covid 19. I watched a lot of telly and the standout programme I watched was Gangs of London. Probably the most violent programme I've ever seen. Blood everywhere. Horrific. I can recommend it. I can't recommend Covid 19 though. It's not very nice.

Thanks DC, took your advice. Being in lockdown and on curfew me and the missus binge watched the entire series. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Emerging from lockdown blinking in the sunlight we decided to plunge the junior Mellys back into darkness by taking them to see Trolls World Tour at the local cinema. Totally boring and predictable for adults I’m afraid the reclining seats did for me and a sizeable chunk got missed due to being in the land of nod. A bit of a Stella cast including Ozzy Osbourne, Justin Timberlake, Mary J Blidge and the essential James Cordon did nothing to prop it up. One to let the wife deal with on her own.

Ha ha - I fell asleep at the cinema while taking the kids to see the first Trolls film. There are plenty of kids films that are quite enjoyable as an adult; most of the Pixar stuff, Paddington, The Lego Movie, Big Hero 6, The BFG... Trolls though... interminable drivel!

We've been watching The Queens Gambit on Netflix. It's very good. I've never played chess in my life but it manages to make chess matches look exciting!

Watched the Danish six part drama, The Investigation, recently. Sub titles but I thought that it was very good...

Watched the 100 series 7(the final series(maybe)). Not as good as the previous ones, it seemed to me they were running out of ideas.
