Nicke Kabamba (remember him?) has just bagged a hat trick for Barnet.
A hat trick from centre midfield (apparently)(BBC) To go with his own goal on Saturday when playing left back! (again BBC)

I think that's his level, scores constantly down there but the EFL looked a step too much. Maybe we should have persevered with him ?

Former Cobblers knocking them in today were Matt Crooks for Middlesbrough in the Championship, James Collins bagged a penalty for Derby, Billy Bodin for Oxford and Jon Marquis scored for Bristol Rovers in League 1.
In the National League Michael Jacobs saw red for Chesterfield after picking up two yellows in their game at Ebbsfleet, Ricky Korboa scored twice in three minutes as Woking won at Hartlepool, Nicke Kabamba also scored twice for Barnet but they fell to defeat at Rochdale for whom Ian Henderson was on the scoresheet. Matt Warburton scored the only goal in the televised game as Solihull Moors won at Kidderminster.
North of the border Louis Moult scored his fifth of the season for Dundee United in the Scottish Championship.

Watching Soccer Special tonight quite a few ex-Cobblers names popped up.....
Kion Etete scored Cardiffs third in their 3-2 Championship win over Coventry. Former loanee Peter Kioso scored Pish's third in their win over Cheltenham for whom another former Cobblers loanee, James Olayinka, was sent off. Nicke Kabamba scored his ninth of the season for Barnet as they beat an Aldershot team featuring Max Dyche. Joe Nuttall scored for Oldham in their win over York and Jack Bridge found the net for Southend as they beat Maidenhead.

Bit of a fall, just like Lee Tomlin who we were supposed to be looking at last season, he's now turned up at and turns out for Harborough Town.

DCL again on the scoresheet in the Premier League for Everton, 3 in three games for him. Kion Etete scored his fifth of the campaign in his first league start this season for Cardiff. Matt Grimes bagged for Swansea at Millwall, his first league goal of the season, as it was too for Darnell Furlong in WBA's 4-0 win at Preston. Regan Poole scored again for Portsmouth in League 1. In League 2 Jordan Turnbull saw red for Tranmere in their defeat at Wimbledon and Chris Long scored from the spot in a 3-3 draw for Crewe at Wrexham. Byron Webster scored for Bromley in the National League and there was a goal for Michael Jacobs in Chesterfields draw at Maidenhead. North of the border Billy McKay continues to bang in the goals for Inverness scoring the third in their 3-2 win at Arbroath, that's over 100 goals in three spells for Thistle who are now managed by Duncan Ferguson.

Not been tracking the scorers for a while, but one name that seems to keep popping up is Danny Rose.
He made 44 starts for us and 43 further appearances off the bench in all competitions..... 7 goals. He then went to Stevenage and made 36 starts and a further 16 sub appearances.... 9 goals.
This season he is at Grimsby and has made 18 starts, never come on as a sub and has bagged 7 goals, including scoring in his last three games.
Another former Cobblers striker albeit on loan, James Collins, is now into double figures for Derby with 10 goals in all competitions, five of those coming in back to back games last week.

Emyr Huws (remember him) has announced his retirement at the grand old age of 30. Probably a recurring neck injury, from watching the ball sail over his head during Boothroyds tenure.

30 years old and only 145 senior games. That probably wasn't part of the dream as a Man City youngster.
