And aren't we the lucky ones to have witnessed those efforts before he became but a distant memory from English football.

Fastest in the EFL on record, 13 seconds?

I'm not so sure Marquis warranted a red card. Roberts was clear as day though.

Good. It may have not been intentional, but it was like a Drew Mcintyre claymore with studs.
There will always be people that try to defend these sort of actions, but at the end of the day you cannot lead with your boots at head high in any sport.
Look what happened to the ice hockey player in 2023. And his attacker is still on bail, pending a manslaughter charge. A straight leg and a boot of any sort, is a dangerous combination.

I disagree had it not been a tv game and happened in league 1 it would be a standard 3 match ban and not been increased

And the people that matter say otherwise.
Would you still have taken that stance, had he not been a former player?  Face facts, 26 stitches in the opponents ear from a head high tackle, is dangerous and reckless. And thank you for proving my point about there always being someone who attempts to defend the indefensible.

And no offence to Dai, but if you are playing Villa with a place in the FA Cup semi finals at stake, you would rather have a Woodman than a Cornell.

Having said that, a clean sheet so far.

Oh well, I jinked that. Or maybe the person who signed him in the first place did.
