Very risky when you have a fairly small squad to play such a strong X1 in an essentially meaningless condition. Hope Mills is OK.

Oh absolutely. Certainly hasn't paid off.

Apart from the first 20 minutes it feels like MK have controlled this game. We've barely been on the ball.

These prats on commentary aren't helping my mood!

And defence looking much less robust tonight. Not dealing with balls played on the ground around the box

Well that's brought us crashing down to earth. And now we'll have to play the youngsters in our first league game...

Not bothered at all about the result. I always think that the quicker we exit this competition the better.

Should be used as a chance to blood the youngsters/test fringe players. It seems to me that KC has thought about this as a kind of final, high-intensity friendly. He's got some more minutes into the first teamers, but I just hope it hasn't come at too high a price.

I blame Feelgood's new ironing board. There's no other explanation.

Well this was pretty much a full squad and it just demonstrates no strength in depth at the moment. We need those extra 3 players

Thought we looked fine until we had to make changes and then faded away. We may now have 6 or 7 injured and unavailable for saturday then we will be struggling.

Even Stevens at half time but a fairly toothless display after Mills goal. Afraid the hopes that Warburton might shine are soon put to rest, talk about an underwhelming performance from him. In truth the others were not much better. Defence held up well until Watson gave the ball away to make it 3-1.  We appear to lose method, desire  and belief second half. Unless we get reinforcements in for Saturday we might have an disastrous start to the season. Not good to watch.

Everbrite that’s harsh on Warburton, absolutely no service to him whatsoever and he still had two half chances. Not currently feeling very optimistic about Saturday.

It’s one game and clearly the enforced substitutions will have impacted. Not sure why either of the new forwards were not on, it’s not ideal for them to be landing in the team for the first time on Saturday.

In my forever glass half full world I would say that sometimes a loss can trigger a reaction and a winning run , so perhaps the loss has come at the right time in the right tournament.

The increasing injury list is a concern though.
