Hope we have a few players by Sat as with so many injuries its hard to predict the outcome. iFollow no issue but trembled when after entering the code had to 'pay' by card. It did say not to worry though.

Me too Everbrite! It’s like everything else with supporting the Cobbs - you just have to suspend your doubts and fears and just put your faith in it all being ok - in the end!

I read an interesting preview from a Lincoln Fan I think, where he actually had Nuttal down as a key signing and said that Cowley had eyed him up a target-man option a couple of years prior. We definiltely need someone with a bit more strength if Smith is out, I haven't given up on Korboa and Warburton but they don't work together as a pair.

I like Korboa but Warburton is just not quick or strong enough for a striker at L1 level.

Not much traction on here ahead of the first game of the season in a higher division. It definitely has a low key feel due to this damn virus stopping our lives. It is what it is though and we have to deal with it. Wimbledon at home is probably seen as one of the more favourable fixtures to start with. The injury list is a real concern and it's difficult to predict the outcome. A first opening day win for 5 years is what we want and is within our capabilities. I will be watching from the comfort of my lucky play-off seat.

Amazing not one stab at a team; normally a few decent POV’s!

Think it's more than just the virus. I really, really want to be positive about our chances, but if I'm honest, in over two decades supporting the club I think this is the most downbeat I've ever felt going into the opening day of a league season. League One looks like a strong league this year, and we're going into our first game leaning on players who couldn't hold down a place in our League Two team. Not even played a game yet but tomorrow already has the feel of a relegation six pointer.

Arnold
Racic Bolger Horsfall Harriman Martin
Missilou Watson
Hoskins
Ashley-Seal Warburton
I’m not saying that’s what I want - I’d rather Harriman swap to the left with Marshall rwb but it looks like Marshall has fallen out of favour.

Hasn't Korboa played at wing-back during pre-season? Wonder if he'll get the nod over Martin. I think Nuttal is due to be back too, but not sure Hoskins will be if it's hamstring that went. Arnold Racic Bolger Horsfall Harriman Korboa Missilou Watson Warburton Ashley-Seal Nuttal

It's funny, but I kind of feel the opposite. For the majority of last season I didn't expect us to get in the play-offs. I then had very little expectation of us getting to Wembley (obviously especially after the first leg). Despite our awesome second-leg comeback, I didn't necessarily expect us to beat Exeter, let alone thrash them 4-0. For me this season is almost an unexpected bonus. I have no real expectations other than an obvious desire for us to stay in the division. In some ways the pressure is off us because no one will expect us to be a threat. We've already sprung a minor upset by knocking Cardiff out and I suspect it won't be the last one we see this year. Curle has defied expectations at every turn and has generally improved the mostly-unheralded players he has worked with (Goode, Oliver, Hoskins etc). We have no real idea how unknown quantities like Ashley-Seal, Korboa or Racic will perform. I think the best thing to do is to sit back and enjoy the ride. If we're in deep relegation trouble by Christmas (or even if we lose today) I'll probably be the first to pitch in and put in some constructive criticism but until then I'm going to try and enjoy it and look at it as an interesting adventure, even if we start with a defeat against the Dons today. Agree, especially with your comments about Marshall, I just don’t get why he doesn’t play him?

Does anyone know why Marshall is not being considered at present? He hasn't done any thing wrong on the pitch in my eyes. Is it something off the pitch?

A good player certainly but I don't think he fits in with the 'fundamentals' of the team. He isn't a player that is going to press hard like the rest of the team, he almost needs a free role to express himself but I don't think that fits into the brief either. A match winner on his day though, as Wembley proved.

Thanks TP. Personally i thought he pressed and got in the oppositions faces well and was always willing to overlap, break quickly and would be an excellent regular wing back with Mills on other side. I do trust KC's judgement though. 2-1 today to us.
