Has anyone noticed that this site keeps logging you out all the while when using Chrome? Technically, I think it's Chrome logging you out rather than the site kicking you out but it's annoying either way!

I noticed it on my work laptop about a week ago and assumed it was just a policy change on our profiles but I've just noticed it's now doing the same via Chrome on my personal laptop too, so I guess there has been a change to cookie handling or something in a recent browser update.

I've tried all the obvious stuff around permissions but it seems to make no odds.

Any ideas??

No comment apart from I use Chrome on some things and Edge on others and none of them log me out?

No, me neither in the past. As I say, when it started doing it in one place I didn't give it a second thought, but when it started behaving the same way on two unrelated devices I figured something must have changed in a common area, so either Chrome, my account (which I'd think was unlikely) or possibly in Windows 10.

Yes, I use Chrome and its doing the same to me.

Annoying when you write a message, press post and then it says you need to log in!

Also when flicking between different threads you find you're suddenly logged out......tried ticking the box, login forever, 60 minutes, whatever.......doesn't make any difference.

A few years ago we had a similar problem if I've got it right for those not using the smf server?

Throwing my hat in as well - happens even when I just refresh the page, I'm making sure to set the cookie to "forever" each time but I don't think that helps

Not a bad shout actually, it might be Chrome objecting to the redirect. I'll try going in via the smfserver.com address when I next use my laptop and see if that resolves it.

I'm thought it was Chrome, but having switched to Edge it also appears to be doing the same

I only get logged out on the .co.uk. The smfserver.com doesn’t log me out between topics, or after I leave.

Connecting to the smfserver address resolved the problem for me. Some browsers try to protect you from multiple redirects in case you are being bounced somewhere unknowingly that you don't want to be. I suspect that's what happens when you connect to the .co.uk address.
