Which game are you watching?
I just have a feeling we always look likely to gift them a goal, while not enough quality up front to score two goals, I guess we will see.

12/1 the draw or 40/1 for a Cobblers win if you reckon he's wrong........

We need someone speedy up front alongside Smith to get on the end of his flick-ons and threaten in behind. The problem with playing Warburton up top in our system is that he hasn't got the aerial presence to win the first ball, and he also doesn't have the pace to get in behind defenders. He's a good finisher but unless the ball drops to him in the right area, he's a dead weight in this system. Hope we get to see Chuk / Nuttall for some of this second half.
Defence - well we've said it all before on here I know. But we need two more centre backs. Martin the best of the three in the first half and he's brand new to this position!

I also think we're lacking a bit of nastiness / snide this season. Last year we had Goode in the ref's ear all game and it used to sway things in our favour - I still think the ref might have bottled sending off the Exeter man in the play-off final without Charlie's "that's a red card, that's a red card" until he finally reached for his pocket to shut him up No-one has stepped in to that void and Honeyman is being allowed to pretty much ref the game here and it led to their second goal. Home fans in the ground might have helped us massively today.

Three Center forwards on the pitch and he takes off Marshall the only guy who can supply a quality cross.

Plan B seems to be to just stick as many big lumps on up top as possible and hope for the best. No width at all, no quality to our passing. Dreadful to watch.

We’re playing like there’s three games left in the season and we’re completely desperate to score a goal or go down, when in fact it’s actually the third game of the season. Really poor performance in this half tbh.
Racic in particular is terrible.

Racic in particular is terrible.
Just threw his toys out the pram getting subbed as well. No positional sense defensively and his pass completion rate must be shocking, constantly mis-hits his passes straight to the opposition or into touch. If we could find an alternative before the window shuts, I'd send him back. I know he's only had half a dozen games, but before UEFA changed the loan system, it wasn't unusual to send a loanee back after a couple of months if they weren't making the grade.

Brilliant analysis from radio Northampton - estimating that we’ve had close to 60% possession only for the number to come up seconds later and show a measly 46%...

Curle’s “tactics” are quite simply atrocious. Not interested in playing football whatsoever.
Let’s not kid ourselves ... we were awful for most of last season and got promoted on the back of 2 great performances.
This is “not” how to achieve league 1 survival.

Its not quite as bad as the Bristol City game, but almost. Maybe need to rethink this formation. Unlike Bristol who were too good on the ball for us, Hull are just too strong at the back for us.
