I’ve not seen Seal do anything yet. That could have been 5 or 6-0

Rose ain't ready, obviously yet.

But that last two games were as bad as the two play-offs were good. Not creating a single chance whatsoever, completely out of their depth. What's worse is that Rovers were crap as well, won't get much better chances to pick up much needed points this season.

Remember, these were bottom at start of play!

with no wins this season, in fact only two wins in all competitions since last Christmas.......

still, if anyone fancies three points, they know who they have to play!!!

Only the Cobblers can sign forward after forward, name a team with three starting and another three or four on the bench, and not have a shot on target until the 89th minute!

Why was he on the bench if he wasn’t ready?

That was as bad as Crawley away on Boxing Day, in similarly awful conditions. At least we didn't lose multiple players to injury in the closing seconds I suppose.

Hardly a surprise we aren't scoring when we are so reliant on Smith, who has a bit of an attitude problem when things aren't going his way. Defensively meanwhile we were a joke today, not even League Two standard.

I don't want to be too negative this early in the season so let's find some positives. Missilou was probably our best player, especially in the first half. Only real quality we showed came from him, so I was surprised Curle in his wisdom took him off. Second half I thought Sowerby did okay when he came on.

Apart from that, I'm struggling. Big improvement needed for next Saturday.

The 3 subs after the penalty was total panic, he wouldn't of done it if they hadn't of scored. And to not even bring on either Adams or Marshall who are the only two creative players was bizarre.
Curle really needs to find what his best starting 11 is now with all these players coming back, we had a strong team available today and totally wasted it.

A few thoughts.

1. The first half was dull, but I thought we matched a fairly uninspiring Rovers team. If the delivery into the box had been better from Mills in particular then we might have taken the lead.

2. The triple sub smacked of naivety. Curle has to learn that you can't get away with simply chucking on a load more big men at this level as a plan b - L1 defences are savvy enough to deal with primitive aerial bombardment. You can't hurt teams if you never have the ball. It was a stupid move to take off two of our most defensively competent players (Missilou and Harriman) and our possession stats plummeted in their absence.

3. I agree that one of Adams or Marshall really has to play, otherwise the quality into the box from wide areas isn't good enough. It concerns me that our only routes to goal are 1.cross into the box or 2.lucky break from a hoof or 3. set piece. We need to start causing teams more problems through getting in behind teams. Hopefully Sowerby and Rose can add this to dimension to our game in time.

So where do we start, Joe Martin leaves the ref no option but to book him in the 1st half when he didn't need to foul the guy, then in the 2nd half swings an elbow. That said, I didn't think the ref was allowed to change a decision on the 4th officials advice ?
Bolger is a slow version of Ash Taylor, what was he thinking with that penalty incident? as soon as he was done he just had to let him go but that decision cost us the game. Where was our legendary team spirit?, Leon Barnett was 100% correct that the players were happy with 2-0, too many players heads dropped against a distinctly average Rovers team, who in the end should have had a couple more.
KC needs a rethink, hoofing it to Smith isn't working, which brings me onto Harry, he should at least be trying to bully the centre half but he hardly lays a finger on them, use your bloody size and strength man !

I really don’t think Smith should be anywhere near the team. As I said at start of the season we will be lucky to get 5 goals out of him all season. Curled tatics are being found out and we have no plan B, the Curle ‘Love in’ will be under pressure if we lose heavily next weekend, especially with a nearly full squad available

Interesting this, because if you look at the goals we've scored so far in the league we've had one direct free kick, one cut-back from the byline, one goalkeeping mistake, and whatever Korboa's goal was (I can't even remember what led up to it). We've not really threatened from a corner, or a knock down from a long ball, or a cross in the air - and to be honest, outside the goals we've scored we've not actually created many other chances at all.
