Who would have thought playing 3 fullbacks as back three, and going without a recognized target man would produce such an accomplished performance despite the atrocious conditions. Defensively we looked pretty solid with much more creativity in midfield than is usually on offer plus some willing runners up front. Pretty good performances all round.
Good to see McWilliams back in the fold but his substitution at half time gave Sowerby the chance to show his class. MOM toss up between Mills, Sowerby, and Ashley-Seal. I'll give it to Mills for his faultless display at the back and for getting the ball rolling with the first goal. Should be interesting team selection on Saturday.

Marshall but a good team performance generally. Southampton U21's manager has to be very disappointed with his team's collapse.
