Having watched it back a couple of times it's a combination of Mitchell for punching into a danger area and Sheehan ball-watching.

Agreed poor goalkeeping but some awful defending, he was like a statue as Mitchell parried it out.

Hoskins, literally offers nothing. "but he works hard"
Yep.
It was but that's being a bit harsh I think. Pushed it back when he thought he was pushing it wide. Would get away with it more often than not.
Watson really should have scored after 10 minutes.

I've missed the first half, but am I right to read from the comments that we've conceded from yet another set piece?

Yep. When you're playing against a technically superior team, getting done by a bit of great play is understandable. What's been so frustrating about this season is that we keep getting undone by our own defensive disorganisation and errors. We're even creating chances at the other end but we're not good enough to convert them.

Disappointing to be going in at halftime 0-1 down......unlucky with the goal ( own goal ?) and toothless in attack.
At least Marquis did not celebrate his knee-ing/ deflected goal following up.

At least I haven't had to listen to Toggle- Tim's dreadful commentary.
Hard to see where a goal could come from ...but Watson's late runs into the box encouraging ( how did he miss that after doing all the hard work)

A game of 2 halves anyone?

Agreed poor goalkeeping but some awful defending, he was like a statue as Mitchell parried it out.

I've kept watching it back during half time, wanting to see it as this 'unfortunate freak goal' that Oglethorpe seems to think it was, but honestly, it wasn't.

Sheehan's stood like a statue as the ball comes out from Mitchell but in fairness to him he's got little time to react. The main issue I take is that as the free kick is taken, he's clearly the man marking Marquis (almost bear-hugging him). Marquis breaks free of the hug and spins over Sheehan's shoulder just before the ball is fizzed in, though, and Sheehan doesn't even look over his shoulder to see where he's gone - just gravitates towards the ball. Mitchell then punches it straight at Marquis who's now all on his own. If Sheehan's stuck with him, he can at least put in a challenge at that point to put him off.

As I said before though, he's played few enough games this calendar year that you can count them on one hand, and he's done well for the most part tonight. We need to give him a chance and we really need him to be the answer to our problems at the back because he's the last roll of Keith's dice.

Get Hoskins off, he is not a L1 player. Replace with Marshall and we might have a chance

Mitchell at fault for the goal, worse error than Arnold’s a few games back. Watson having a good game but nowhere near clinical enough

You let Goode, Wharton and Turnbull go and replace them with worse players we'll go down.
Is Rose better the Morton? Probably not and he's hardly featured at Lincoln.
Cant under why both Adams and Marshall are on the bench either.

Mitchell did nothing wrong there. He parried out wide (not forward) and the ball has hit Marquis and bounced in

And what about that party then, straight to the Striker again. Poor from Mitchell, he has to be pushing the ball wide. It’s going to be 4 or 5 now
