I like Tim O, even though he makes so many mistakes (incorrect players, "knife through hot butter" etc) - got to love his optimism more than anything and can't deny he's a huge fan which has a charm about it. As someone mentioned, how excited he got about Ricky Holmes was quite adorable really.
With regards to pundits, Steve Phillips is the WORST - I'll be listening to the opposition commentary next time he's on. Smudger is my favourite of the current bunch!

Toggle-Tim does have some endearing characteristics and seems to be a real Cobblers fan.....BUT......
his incompetence has truly been exposed with the addition of iFollow to his radio commentary .
We used to take his commentary as a true description. His knowledge of football leaves a lot to be desired and some of his comments leave his resident pundit-of -the day clearly flabbergasted wondering what they can add to his pontifications.
One of his latest opinions which riled me was: " Now that Wimbledon have their own 'home' ground again....there is surely no need for the animosity towards The Dons (plastic MK !!! continuously referred to as The Dons)) " This drove me to switching to the away commentary at half time (also a bit banal but less annoying)....I doubt if I am alone in this.

Are you saying while you were watching 90 minutes of the mundane MK match you would not make a mistake whilst comatosed? I think Tim and Radio Northampton give us excellent coverage.

So do I, and I've never listened to him...

I personally think Tim does a great job of the commentary of our games. His enthusiasm for the club adds to the experience and we are blessed to have him and some excellent summarises too.

I am amazed to see so many fans have harsh opinions on our Football commentators who are here to serve us! Reminds me of the grossly sexist criticism of Caroline some years ago. I find the criticism often unfair and a tad ignorant . We should have a poll on best local commentator. I like Steve Philips, like his London accent and accurate views. No snobby views for me!

For someone who is 'opposed to paragraph after paragraph of the same bollox', why do you spout continual negative anti everything NTFC? Try looking in a mirror!

I like tim, he is a genuine fan, and speaks with passion. However, his constant use of the word "folks" and referring to Bernie Keiths rock and roll heaven as "excellent" can prove irritating. I recall when Boothroyd was sacked, when Gareth was called up to announce the news, and he tried to sound shocked. We all expected it. There have been a lot worse. That dodgy bird with the high pitched voice for instance. "Joe Northerner" was very good. I cant remember his surname. Lee Lee Lee Harper did impress me with his knowledge and questions. But we are stuck with Tim, and I am happy with that.

I like Tim too, especially as he's so clearly a fan and an eternal optimist. Can be a bit irritating when he gets names wrong etc, but enjoy listening to him overall.
Re pundits, I like Steve Phillips and Martin Smith who both often make interesting observations. I may be biased though as they are both among my favourite ever Cobblers players. Not so keen on Pete Walton and Leon Barnett, both of whom just seem to state the obvious nearly all the time. When Tim asks Leon Barnett what he thinks of a particular piece of play, he often simply repeats what happened!

I'm in the love camp, he's able to come across naturally and relaxed, its' a lot harder than it may seem. He's much better than other regional commentators that are stilted with artificial cringing banter with their punter. People watching on iFollow have noticed he over exaggerates things, well that's his job. He's the radio commentator and he's meant to make it sound exciting to keep people listening. Hang on to your hats folks!

I really dislike listening to Steve Phillips on the radio. Constantly references players fro, the 80’s and games he’s played in. ‘This Wimbledon striker reminds of Colin Lee the Gillingham striker from the late 80’s, remember him?’. No Steve, no one bloody does.
