Wigan have just given Oxford United a very close game...nearly all Wigan Athletic first half!

Cobblers, Swindon Town, Burton Albion down I believe, with possibly Bristol Rovers over Wimbledon joining us.

Burton certainly on a role. Shrewsbury* have also done well; these things seem to go in cycles. The rule of average is that these two will have poor runs sooner than later. Rochdale are also very much in the relegation picture as are Bristol Rovers, AFC and Wigan. Swindon may not be with us after February.

* Shrewsbury have included although on a healthy 36 points only need to have a poor run and next door neighbour!

Certainly after KC's dismissal  and the recent two home losses things are downbeat and depressing. Am not all confident with JB and would have preferred Sammo and Ricko as caretaker manager. It all depends on the upcoming fixture list of the teams above us as I thought one or two had pretty tough run ins.
My opinion it is too early to name the 4 as too many games are still to be played. As KC said there will be plenty of ups and downs before the season end. Injuries play a part too.  Again looking at the overall situation and how we are playing it is easy to forecast doom and despair than conjure up a positive outlook. The Players know the situation its upto them to sort it out! Also not sure about sacking as if I was CEO would tell him you got us in this mess so get us out of it. As pointed out by BWills we are still remarkably point or two from temporary safety! It all depends on the new Manager if he steps upto the mark
instills confidence and a workable system to suit the personnel we should be able to give it a good go. Is JB the man to do this?
