Having looked at the remaining fixtures it looks as though we will need at least 2 wins and 2 draws - I can't see us getting anything from Peterborough or Sunderland and it will be hard going at home against Blackpool. Having followed the Cobblers for over 60 years I know all to well how good we are at blowing it at the death, I fear that we are going to just come up short, possibly on goal difference. I hope I'm wrong. I actually think we will get 1 win (against Bristol R) and 3 draws ( Ipswich, Gillingham & Blackpool), and unless we can from somewhere find a lot of goals against Bristol, goal difference will send us down.
.

Strange how opinions differ as I thought that goal difference might be the difference in our survival. For instance at least 2 teams currently have worse?

My fear is how many goals we might ship against Peterborough and Sunderland. We have the hardest run in of all the bottom teams.

It’s set up for a famous win at London Road and Sunderland will be on their hols by the time we play them.

Big week for Swindon, away at Rochdale on Tuesday and away at Wimbledon on Saturday.....teams below us are guaranteed to pick up points this week.

Toughest assignment is most definitely ours on Saturday......

AFC WIMBLEDON  v  SWINDON TOWN, one or both will get something from the game
BRISTOL ROVERS  v  Lincoln City, The Imps are one win in 10 now and seem to have blown their automatic promotion chances
Peterborough United  v  NORTHAMPTON TOWN
ROCHDALE  v  Accrington Stanley, Dale without a home win since October and just that solitary home win all season against Stanley who have shipped 23 goals in their last 8 games
WIGAN ATHLETIC  v  Crewe Alexandra, The Alex have gone off the boil after heavy defeats to Burton and now Oxford mean they have little left to play for.

The games are not taking place at 15:00 Saturday because of the funeral. They are all changing day/time.

Most if not all of them will just change kickoff time as there are so few midweeks to go now....the season finishes in 4 weeks!! Pretty much everyone is playing all the next three midweeks already, and six teams already have a game on 4th May.

There will be 1300 starts and 1600-1700 starts I reckon

If it's early kick offs, we may be in the mood for a funeral by 3pm.  Cry

Let’s just call it a draw and concentrate on the sad day of mourning.
