Unsure if it was for a handball by Horsfall or a tug by Bolger - either way, completely moronic one to give away considering that cross was not going to come to anything.
Handball by Horsfall.

We seem to be conceding way too many penalties. Taken the shine off a very good win. But I'll take 3-1!

Excellent win. Seem to make the teams around us look very ordinary indeed. Glad for Smiffy, hopefully he can kick on now and grow in confidence.

I went to check the penalty stats, and we've only conceded 4 in the league apparently. That compares to 8 for Sunderland.

It was a good performance, but against team stranded at the bottom. Need to get that result at Rochdale next as well, these are the games that will decide if we stay up or not

Good performance overall and I think the fresh faces made a difference. I'm not a Smith fan but he was good today and he seems to run more when he scores a goal. Particularly impressed with McWilliams and Marshall was excellent second half. Thought Sowerby was much better today too. I think we need to play Holmes whenever he's fit, as well as McWilliams, Marshall and Chucky.

That's because (like us) they are! That said, as long as we can beat these teams, we'll stay up. At the moment, we're doing it.

Let’s not get too carried away, Burton were truly dreadful and have won one game all season.
That said you can only beat what’s in front of you, we need to back this up Tuesday with another 3 points.

Interesting to know - thanks! Must be those Oxford City penalties skewing my perspective then  Grin

Another win playing football (occasionally) on a decent pitch!

KC you are the only manager who has thought Moulton is not good enough and accepts the ploughed up Sixfields pitch........resulting in only ONE home win.

Big result that after some woeful performances, both collectively and from individuals.

Very happy for Smith to get a couple, fingers crossed that does his confidence the world of good. Burton certain to finish in the bottom 4 and Wigan looking likely for another so just 2 sides to finish above.

Follow that up on Tuesday and things look a lot improved.

A very much needed 3 points but one swallow doesn’t make summer and I’m not wetting myself over it.
To have any chance of staying up we need to start producing consistent performances

We have been consistent so far this season
Consistently bloody awful

It’s a start
Now let’s build on it

Il make a rare exception and give you the time of day

I have no idea what you’re prattling on about but thanks for the mention.

The next time I bother responding to you will be when you have something constructive to add rather than taking your usual sly digs at people in a failed attempt to look clever.

Keep it up but don’t expect me to reply until you have something that warrants discussion
It could be some time on past form..... Roll Eyes

Everbrite, we played like most of have been asking for. Watson being dropped made a difference to the Midfield and Marshall’s inclusion gave us some attacking flair. We played it on the ground for most of the game and passed much better. You obviously didn’t read my comment pre match and pre announcement  of the sides ‘ I fancy Smith to score today’. They are obviously a team in disarray but I felt we looked much better. Let’s hope we do the same on Tuesday evening. I also agree with Madrid, Smith was running harder once he scored his first.
