Well, in those ordinary times, some of us would be frequenting Baum for some fine continental beers and the Cemetery just down from Spotland!
Don't think Dale are quite the whipping boys that some might think, a few decent performances by all accounts - most recently against Sunderland. I'm going 1-1...a sneaky 2-1 win?

We have a decent record at the home town of Gracie Fields losing just 13 times in 32 visits. Andy Haines is the ref and in 12 games this season has issued 30 yellows and 2 reds, we last had him 12 months ago when we beat Grimsby at home 2-0. I expect Rochdale to be tougher opposition than Burton as their defensive record is better but they are not prolific scorers. Their only home win was over 7 weeks ago, 2-1 against Fleetwood. Since then they have not won any of the 6 home games, in all competitions, including losing to Stockport in the FA Cup. On saturday they lost 1-0 to a 92nd minute goal against AFC Wimbledon. Looking on their forum they are questioning why when they have the lions share of possession they register so few attempts at goal, shades of MK. If we continue to play a high pressing game and can keep it tight at the back we are more than capable of returning with a positive result.

I can recall when our coach pulled up alongside the ground, stopped, and then reversed down a side street. As he came out again and turned right, the @rse end of the coach went straight down the side of the parked vehicles. The locals poured out. We got out and poured into the pub next to the ground. Im not sure if its still there anymore. As for the game, beating Shrewsbury, Wigan, and Burton does not equate to much, as they are all in the relegation zone. So, with regard to Rochdale, I am going for a 1-1. And I would be content with that.

A point would be good . Can the likes of Smith do it 2 games running and can we have a mistake free night at the back ? There’s a first time for everything and hope prevails

I think this evenings game is soooooo important that KC should take a calculated risk by starting with McWilliams and Holmes again, even though it is an early stage of their return from injury.
I thought Smith, Chuk and Holmes worked well as an attacking unit, interchanging positions well. Harriman could be a more defensive option tonight.

Agree, go for the win, with the same starting 11 from Saturday... We don't play again till next Tuesday so decent recovery time after tonight. Any away points are welcome though.

I am starting to wonder whether Horsfall is in fact the weakest Centre back and not Racic after the last two games. Does anyone have a website for individual player stats at this level ? That would be my only potential change as he was to blame for the goal in both the Accrington and Burton games for me.

I'd be happy to see Racic given another chance over Horsefall especially now we have Sheehan in and playing. Just need to choose the right game.

Horsfall is an absolutely abysmal defender, he’s still miles better than Racic and that’s why KC is playing him. Racic needs to be sent back IMO

Going for a 2-1 Dale win. We usually win 1 then lose 2 or 3. Curles treading water right now but i suspect the Curle Out thread will resurface. Tough games coming up.

For goodness sake Doc we are NOT going down you heard it here 1st (I damn well hope that does not come back to haunt me)

As we were so considerate towards Smith's lack of confidence, couldn't Ricky Korboa be afforded the same treatment and given a chance in his place tonight?

Why take Chuck out when he played well? Why change a winning team, he always changes it every single game, no wonder we can't string a couple of wins together.

bench looks good - some of those may have made the 1st team X1 last season.
