Shoemaker, its nothing to do with the Stadium, its all about the people outside the ground before and after the game, thats what the powers that be are concerned about, forget about seats, think about the area surrounding the stadiums.

So given the choice would you rather be A) two empty seats away from someone who has COVID Or B) eight empty seats away from someone who has COVID?

I don't buy that either. The massive stadia can route people into different sides of the ground, often using entirely different routes through the surrounding streets. It happens for every Old Firm game anyway! You just can't do that at smaller grounds most of the time. Besides, I'd rather walk past a group of people outside in the street, keeping my distance and spending no more than a couple of seconds in their vicinity than sit downwind of someone 4 seats away for 105 minutes...

If you have asthma I wouldn’t go if I were you. I could elaborate on here but it wouldn’t be fair to people involved but I guess you can read between the lines.
Don't worry, I'm not going to Shoey.

Why did Shrewsbury seat everyone in one stand then (in the pilot)? Because it's easy to steward and keep an eye on people observing the rules. I think you'll find most grounds will seat people in one area of the ground.

Its quite simple really, if you think its too big a risk, dont go. If you think the risk to yourselves is ok, then go. No need to say this is sh1t thats sh1t, everything is sh1t, it really is a simple thing to work out and if thats beyond anybodies thought process then maybe they should just lock the door and stay at home for the next few months.
I don't think it is just about the risk to yourself. It is about the risk of spreading it. We have gone all this way, with all these restrictions we have suffered and now, with a vaccine in sight, we are risking it all so that a few folk can watch a footy game in a stadium. I believe it is crazy.

If people don't "buy that" then maybe they're the reason that the rules are so strict.

Agreed, the negativity indicated by some on here is astonishing. If you are not confident enough to go then that's fine and a totally understandable decision. To voice disapproval such as above is unnecessary; let people make their own decisions and follow the guidelines. We all have the responsibility to look after each other.

Ah yes, Evers and his magic visor of invincibility. I don’t think that “I’m going to a football match” is a valid reason for requesting a test - I might be wrong but I think that people with actual symptoms are the only people who should be going for tests.

Via my background in construction, I hold a qualitative face fit tester training card. Which basically means that I show you how to wear a mask. I stick a hood over your head, pump a few chemicals in, and you tell me if you can taste it. Whilst I appreciate that this is to prevent dust inhalation, if you can taste it then you have failed. And everybody has to be clean shaven every day. Fat chance of that happening. Its quite a pungent taste, so you know if people are lying. Blue masks and visors achieve nothing. Take your choice people. If you feel safe go, if not dont. I have got a beauty of a mask with a full visor, face fit ventilator with two filters sticking out either side, looking very military. But I wont where that out in public.

Thank goodness we’ve got that sorted ... Those that are happy to stick to Gvt and scientific advice can go and support their club. Those that know better and have their own personalised additional rules and clearly a greater understanding won’t go. So everyone’s happy and no need to get upset. Great stuff. Shall we shut this one down and move on?

"My three children were born in Northamptonshire so I like to think I'm an adopted Northamptonian and it's the same for Rico and Sammo. It means a lot to us because this is our county.

What an outrageous suggestion. We should be able to pad this one out for a good few pages yet.

I think that this one should roll for a while. North Standers stuck in the West? And if 4000 is allowed, In the away end as well. You wont get your regular seat. trust me. And with regard to the pubs, you cant get a beer unless you have a substantial meal. No burger van. Its gonna be a long time before we get back to normality.

I don’t think that “I’m going to a football match” Covidis a valid reason for requesting a test You may be right if you have no symptoms. If you have the C-19 app by Zoe (Prof Phil Spector) with over 4 million UK contributors you can report on your condition on a daily basis incl wife etc. About 2/3 weeks I reported was feeling rough and reported some symptoms. 48Hrs later received an instruction to get a test in Kettering. By then I realized that I had no typical symptoms so ignored the request and reported 'no symptoms' the next day. So you can get a free test if you work the system(fairly). My next-door neighbour phoned NGH to report a problem with a lodger and got a test at the Hospital the following morning.
