You wanna go and you feel safe going then the UK Government and all their scientists and experts say “yes”.
You wanna stay at home for a bit longer then that’s cool with everyone.
Simples!
Shut it down!

So long as people stick to the rules and you don’t get stuck near some c**t who decides to wear a face mask as some sort of chin strap!

It sounds like Northants, along with the majority of the rest of the country, is going to go back into tier 3 on the 16th so it looks like the Doncaster match was one and done (for now at least).

There’s an article on the Chron website - the NBC leader sounds resigned to the fact that numbers are going up so sharply that it looks very likely we’ll go to tier 3, could be wrong I guess but we’ll see.

I think he trots out the same message every week.....

Looking at the interactive map today, Northampton TOWN cases are on the increase, a rolling rate of 223.5/100k, South Northants though is 116.4, Daventry is 90.8, Kettering is 80.6, Corby 101.1, Wellingborough 125.5, East Northants 136.5.

Most of those areas are falling, and as it stands only the TOWN of Northampton would trigger level 3, seeing as things have been on a county-wide basis up to this point most of Northamptonshire would be angry to see the whole county placed into tier 3 just because cases are rising in the Borough of Northampton.

That's similar to London, only parts of it are at increased risk (mainly in the east) but the whole of London will more than likely be put into Tier Three.
With at least 69 x COVID-19 deaths in the past two weeks in the County, it wouldn't be a surprise?

You have to zoom in quite a way on Northamptonshire before you start picking up the purples....and then when you look at those areas, for example the Kingsley Park and Racecourse ward, in the purple with a rolling average of 438.9 cases per 100k.....despite there only being 26 TOTAL cases...... Thats a bit different to Havering which has a similar rolling rate (472.0) yet has 1225 total cases.

Hospital admissions will come into it too I'd imagine, and only on Friday did the chief executives of the two hospitals NGH and KGH say that positive cases requiring hospital admission were actually going down, so it would appear that there isn't a strain on the local NHS yet.......

My own thoughts are that these lockdown/relax/lockdown/relax cycles achieve very little, we might as well all go into tier 3 or even harder until the vaccine is rolled out widely across the community, because every time the restrictions are relaxed the case numbers go back up again quicker than they came down.

Sounds like we're staying in Tier 2. Lots of the surrounding counties have moved to Tier 3, but not Northants

Love it when the hard-core fans are placed in the East Stand near the kiddies section! Music Teacher Coolie and former Squadron Leader Dan DFC; one having to orchestrate the carols the other organising the cheerleading. Should be great fun!
