Northampton isn't great but Northamptonshire is OK.

I live in Moulton and my postcode puts me in Daventry, which is bonkers but nevertheless that's where I am, and the rate there is 101.2 slowly rising but nothing to get too concerned about. The rest of the county is much the same , hence tier 2. This virus is here for life and sooner or later we are going to have to make the most of it and get on with life. We can't stay locked down for ever  as sooner or later there will be no jobs left and then where will we be. It's blindingly obvious the major cause for the current spike is education, schools and universities, they should have been closed.

Enjoy the game those who are going, at 73 I have chosen to opt out of the ballot which is my choice, but I am in favour of fans going back as it is relatively low risk, certainly less than going to a supermarket which is where I am going soon.

Sounds like we're staying in Tier 2. Lots of the surrounding counties have moved to Tier 3, but not Northants

Basically everywhere but Northants!

Nobody without a Northamptonshire postcode should be attending tomorrow.

This should have been the case from the start

All clubs should only have been letting in local fans so that any outbreaks are contained locally

It’s ludicrous that fans of Man Utd etc have been able to travel from London to Manchester to watch games.
I’m wondering if they’ll be able to get a 2,000 crowd now London is in tier 3

It is lunacy when Beds, Bucks and Scumland have all gone to tier 3.

That takes out all of those who have addresses in those counties from attending...might have quite an effect on the attendance figure?

I live in Moulton and my postcode puts me in Daventry,
I was born in Dusson, (no t ) but my birth certificate records me as being born in the parish of Brixworth.
I often wonder how these things work. I can only assume that its something to do with their church. As for Moulton having a Dav postcode, fcuk knows.

Nearly as bad as Earls Barton being in Daventry Parliamentary constituency, when its 3 miles from Wellingborough, 8 miles from Northampton North or South, 12 miles from Kettering, 17 miles from Towcester (South Northants), 20 miles from Bedford but 24 miles  from Daventry.  Huh?

Shoemaker , have Man Utd played a home game with a reduced amount of fans ? I thought they had always been in Tier 3 ? Plus i live in Northamptonshire but i dont have a Northamptonshire postcode, so i cant attend matches ?

No idea about Man Utd to be honest.
If I was in charge of people being allowed to watch football in the midst of a pandemic I’d only be allowing in those with local postcodes.
If you live in northants you’d be allowed , outside it you wouldn’t.
The club would know whose from the county and whose not irrespective of postcodes.

I don't even consider someone a Town supporter unless they were born in the boroughs.

Manchester was and still is in tier 3, therefore they have not been able to admit any fans.

It depends which end of Moulton you live too - the bit nearest Northampton falls under NBC and the opposite end falls under Dav! Different bin collection providers and everything!

Whoops! I was born in Leamington Spa but have lived in Northampton since 1954. Do I count?   Smiley
